Very helpful staff in finding our way around Las Vegas.
Unfortunately the shuttle bus on our second night wasn't available and wasn't notified, so had to walk home late at night. Thankfully it wasn't too far. About 25 minutes walk at most following the monorail lines from overhead.
Outdated room decor could be much improved, but the room is spacious and costs cheap.
Door was stuck from new paint, so this could be amended as well.
Very slow internet connection.

They were sweet upon arrival and very helpful when it came to the shuttle. The shuttle driver went out of his way to drop us off where we needed to be, at Bally's. He was a very sweet man and very helpful. I greatly appreciate that service.

I booked this Best Western Mardi Gras & Casino via Expedia in order to get a discounted rate because of the convention traffic that can form at anytime in Las Vegas. The Pros: Its about 3 blks from the Las Vegas Convention center and its monorail terminal stop. A plus because you could have easy access to the monorail service at a very nominal fee. The monorail system is a lifesaver and great alternative to pricey shuttle & taxi services. The hotel is located on the east side of the Las Vegas strip. Its between some very swanky big name hotels that are much more and should offer more "Plush" for your bucks. If you're a guy on a solo mission, you probably can deal with this Best Western. If you are traveling with your significant other, get ready to change venue. Cons: Smoke-smell from the front-desk because casino is several feet away. Rooms are in need of an overhaul & upgrade of furniture & bedding. Too much wasted space. No microwave in room. Pillows could be firmer and not pillow-puffs. I did feel some small crawly things. Ants or bed-lice? Bring lysol or disinfectant for sanitary purposes.

Room Tip: Get a room on the inner side near pool but away from the front-side entrance and employee area. Too...

Had an excellent stay here for 2 nights. Basic, but very clean and an excellent location. Rooms very spacious and felt comfortable leaving my valuables in the room, seemed quite secure and were plenty of hotel staff around. Less than 5 minutes in a taxi to the strip. Close to a liquor store and mini supermarket.
Would definitely return to this hotel.

Good price and location near the Las Vegas Convention Center (7 minutes to main Hall.) The room (1166) was very nice but the internet never had a signal strong enough to use while I was there. Staff was friendly but front desk undermanned most of the time.
