We received a offer for up to four free nights at either the Venetian or the Palazzo through Carnival Cruise Lines, so we opted for the Palazzo for three nights instead of four since the Sat. before was not available through the offer. We had already spent three nights at another property prior to our stay at the Palazzo and had our air booked.

We checked in around 3:00 PM on a Sunday. The line was enormous (reminded me of a airport security or an amusement park line) and little did we know, that we could have gone through the express line for invited guests. We found this out after we checked in, which took approx 40 mins.. We were given a choice of a top floor room with a view of the golf course/mountains or a strip view suite and were placed on the 32rd floor.

The property is very nice and clean, but large as with any mega resort in Vegas. We were very happy with our room and had a good view of the Treasure Island and pools below, although our window was so dirty that we could hardly see out of it. The bed was very comfortable and there were adequate pillows and lighting, although the lights have individual switches and a main switch that controls all the lights. This was a little tricky. The blinds and curtains were operated via remote control, which was nice. There were three televisions in the suite, all flat screens. The sectional sofa was very comfortable and was a nice touch since we could actually sit in a living room type of setting and enjoy a television program without laying on the bed. The bathroom was huge, even though the tub faces the opposite direction of the television, so you would not be able to bathe and watch television if that's your thing. The shower was nice, with very good pressure.

We did not pay the resort fee with our offer, so we didn't use the spa or heath club. We also didn't go to the pools so we cannot comment on that, although there are several to choose from and we could have used the Venetian's as well. We did eat lunch at Lagasse's Stadium and it was just O.K.. I wouldn't go back there for the food, although it's a nice sports bar. We were given a pass for four to the night club at the Palazzo ($120 value). The pass was attached to the room info. given to us at check-in, so when we gave it to our waitress so she knew which room to charge our lunch to at Lagasse's, she kept it, so we were not able to go there.

We played a bit in the casino, but didn't have much luck. The parking lot is all underground and is a nightmare. There are sensors on each floor to indicate the number of spots available on each level which is kind of nice, but we had a very hard time finding a parking place and be prepared to walk a lot.

Overall, this property is very nice, but it's just not for us. We prefer a smaller, more intimate property with less pretentious patrons. We would stay at the Palazzo only if it were comped again, but would not pay to stay there.

We stayed at the Palazzo for three nights, and were very pleased. The resort fee ($19 per night) included WiFi and gym access, which was perfect for us. The room was huge, we had an awesome view, a comfortable bed and good shops and restaurants.

We used some of the spa services and were pleased with them. The gym was ok, it had some weights, lots of cardio machines, and TechnoGym equipment. The pool area was great too. In the spa area there was a restaurant where you could find a good healthy breakfast, protein drinks etc.

As with everything in LV, they make you pay for everything else, such as TV, $5 for a bottle of water etc. Also, the bathroom in our room was not clean, which was rather disgusting. Still, we were happy with our choice of hotel and would recommend it to anyone going to LV.

Having stayed here in 2009, we were looking forward to another good trip. However it started badly with our luggage not being delivered to our room after almost 4 hours despite three telephone calls from myself, the Executive Lounge Concierge and the Duty Manager. I eventually got it back from the Bell Desk and took it to our room myself.
Secondly the Executive lounge was very busy and seemd understaffed. At the evening session you had to queue for some time for drinks and the food disappeared as soon as it was put out and there seemed to be a lack of staff to replace it. Again queues formed and long waits were the outcome. It was not very relaxing.
The hotel rooms are huge with good views and the Executive staff, including the Concierges, were very good in difficult circumstances.
Although the pool area is quite extensive, the fact that they now put sun loungers in the shallow areas of the pool limits its use as it is not possible to sit in the water in these areas.

Stayed at hotel with a bunch of co-workers. Rooms were nice and clean. Could not understand why they charged more for 2 queen bed vs. 1 king, but oh well. All hotel staff was very courteous, polite and friendly. Room again was nice but not impressed with the bathroom, big but bath was regular size. You would figure for the price and size of the bathroom they would have put oversized tubs or spa tubs in the rooms. Very good location. Would stay again if the price was right. Lagassi Stadium is a great place to watch sports. Again kinda pricey but worth it for the boys.
