“Would definitelydo it again!”
Reviewed July 28, 2010

Plainly, this tour was the best one I've taken in all of my years of traveling. Initially, the tour guides, Alfonso and Julio, were very conciliatory and knowledgeable. They made sure that everybody in our tour received the same information even if it meant repeating themselves over. Additionally, they stopped in various areas in order to broaden our experience. Throughout our tour, we stopped at mcDonald's for a pre-paid breakfast, Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam, the historic Route 66, and an unplanned photo-stop at the Flintstones-themed Bedrock Cafe. Also, during the walk about the canyon, one of the tour guides carried a cooled backpack stocked with food and plenty of water bottles.
Unquestionably, the Grand Canyon itself was picturesque and the walking tour itself was not as tedious as people make it out to be. If one has survived the heat of Las Vegas, one will believe the canyon is a cooler. The only arduous part of the walk was walking up the hill. As an all-day tour, I suggest bringing a charged camera, walking shoes, and light clothing. Personally, I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anybody of any age.

“Awesome! I highly recommend it!”

Our tour guide, Robin, was pleasant and very knowledgeable. I think the passenger van is a great way to do such a tour (rather than a large tour bus). If I am ever in the area again and looking for another tour, I would most definitely use Grand Adventures again.

“A fantastic day out”
Reviewed July 27, 2010

We knew that during our visit to Las Vegas this time, we wanted to make a trip out to the Grand Canyon. We looked at driving ourselves but decided to book this tour after reading the good reviews on Tripadvisor.
Everything about the trip was perfect.
The booking made via Jackie was handled in a professional and friendly manner, she even offered advice on hotels as we live out in the Middle East.
Eric our tour guide for the day picked us up promptly at the time specified on the reservation.
Breakfast as everyone mentions was a welcome start to the day.....especially as it was a 5.45 am pick up.
Eric broke the journey up with lots of quick stops at Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Route 66 etc. finally arriving at the Grand Canyon around lunchtime.
Even though its such a long journey as soon as you set your eyes on the Grand Canyon it makes every mile travelled worth it!
We had a great lunch, plenty to eat for everyone and water was readily available throughout the walk, thanks to Eric carrying it in his back pack!
It would have been nice to get more time at the Grand Canyon,we has around 3 1/2 hours, but I suppose if you really want time to explore you should stay overnight.......We would do this next time.
As this company only use mini buses for the tour you easily get chatting to the other people on the bus which helps make the journey back more enjoyable.
It is a long day and be prepared for that.......but if you really want to see the Grand Canyon and you are staying in Vegas I would recommend this trip.
Thanks to Eric and the Grand Adventure Tours team for a memorable first trip to the Grand Canyon.

“great day”
Reviewed July 27, 2010

We booked this online a few months before our trip to Las Vegas and all went great. We were picked up on time By Eric and we soon got to know the others at breakfast at a clean quiet McDs. Eric was full of knowledge and good to listen to,he cared for all of us all day. After a stop at Hoover Dam we stoped on a stretch of the old route 66.The lunch at the canyon was good with plenty of water all day. I wil not try to describe it,it has to be seen. I highly recomend you see it with Grand-adventures.com Peter Jones

“Awesome time at the Grand Canyon!!!”
Reviewed July 24, 2010

My aunt and I booked a trip to see the Grand Canyon. We booked our trip with Grand Adventures.com and chose the Sunset Tour. Our tour guide, George was punctual and picked us up at 9 AM. We were a total of 8 people for the tour. Breakfast at McDonald's then we were on our way. Stops at Hoover Dam and Route 66 for pictures and sourvenirs. George told us about the history and trivia during the drive. ( Be prepared for a long trip going to and back to your hotel ). We reached the Grand Canyon at 4PM. Drop off at El Tovar hotel to freshen up and buy souvenirs. Nice picnic shortly after. The scenery was beautiful! A must see. Easy walk along the rim. Especially for my aunt. Beautiful sunset! First trip to Grand Canyon. Definitely worth it. We had a good bunch of people with us too. George our tour guide was awesome. He made sure everybody had a good time and helped us take great pictures. Thanks George!
