Visited Vegas with my daughter last August, wanted to experience Grand Canyon after 2 days of walking and shopping on the Strip. I did a lot of reading on the reviews before booking the tours with Grand Adventures and we enjoyed every minute of the trip. Our guide, Alex, was great - humorous with a lot of interesting information on the Canyon. The stop in Seligman was great with a wonderful background story. Alex also acted as our photographer.

It was a long trip, but definitely worth it, even my 13-year-old daughter agreed - she said it was the best part of our Vegas trip.

It is a really long trip, but worth it! Our guide, trayce, was great! She was extremely attentive and knowledgable. The view of the Grand Canyon was worth the drive from Las Vegas.

Alfonso arrived at our hotel in good time and proceeded to do everything we could expect from a good host. My wife and I, our two adult daughters and their partners were joined by two other couples. Alfonso made a point of memorising all our names which helped to break the ice between those of us who were strangers and made for a pleasant friendly atmosphere throughout the trip.

We went for a leisurely breakfast at MacDonald's (choose anything you want), and then on to the Hoover dam where there was plenty of time to explore on foot and take photographs. Throughout the trip Alfonso gave us a running commentary which was very informative with a lot of background about the history and relationships between the American Indians, the early settlers and developments from then to the construction of the Hoover Dam and how Las Vegas developed to meet the needs of the construction workers, attracting more investment to become one of the biggest holiday and convention centres in the world with over 130,000 hotel rooms.

We then drove to the West Rim which included about 13 miles along unsurfaced roads which is why they don't use their newest vans on this trip. After parking we visited the Skywalk before having a an adequate sandwich pack lunch, visiting other vantage points and having the opportunity to buy Indian and other souvenirs. We then returned to Vegas to see The Strip fully lit up in the dark and Alfonso took us to the famous 'Welcome to Las Vegas' neon sign for photographs.

Throughout the day we could not fail to be impressed by Alfonso's non-stop efforts to ensure that everyone had a good experience. Always ready to take photographs to ensure that everyone was included in couple and group photos, and unflappable when straying individuals delayed events, he was clearly focussed on ensuring that each of us had the best possible day.

Minor criticisms: Although payment was immediately acknowledged by PayPal I would have appreciated getting an early confirmation of the booking and arrangements from Grand Adventures without having to ask for it. Also I was a bit concerned about how G-A would reliably advise us if there was any change of plan, although in the event everything went to plan.

The website was confusing about whether the Skywalk was included in the price - it was.

In summary, it's clear from our experience and from the consistently positive reviews that this company is getting that the tour guides are consistently 'on message' and that the message is 'At all times be fully focussed on ensuring that each and every individual has the best experience possible' - It seems to be working!

My boyfriend and I chose Grand Adventures for our South Rim Grand Canyon tour based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews on TA and it exceeded our expectations even further still! We loved this trip right from the minute we were picked up until the minute we were dropped off. We were up really early and it was a long day but the constant energy and enthusiasm of our guide Chad made it an easy and enjoyable journey.

He was at our hotel right on time for pickup, and to our surprise we only ended up having a group of four (including ourselves)! This was impressive as we felt sure that many other tour operators would probably reschedule with low numbers, but it went ahead and made the trip even more enjoyable and personal. The van was comfortable with plenty of room and Chad jumped straight into giving us an in depth history of Las Vegas and how it began as we headed to our first stop, Hoover Dam. The trip also included a stop along Route 66 in Seligman, Arizona. Chad also provided us with a lot of information at each of these locations.

The Canyon was incredible, but what made it even better was that Chad did not even have to be asked if he could take photos for us- he was quick to volunteer. He also knew the best places to get photos, and how to do plenty of great funny poses for photos (eg. One that looks like you're falling from the canyon edge)! For those who were game enough, he also knew other ledges with the most impressive views that were a bit off the beaten track.

The food we were provided with on the trip was plentiful and of great quality. Breakfast was at mcdonalds which personally I never eat, but you can make do with the healthier options like yoghurt or oatmeal if it's not your thing. The lunch sandwiches were large and tasted great, and we also had grapes and cheese and crackers. After viewing the sunset it became quite cold, but we met Chad back at the van and he had brewed some boiling water and passed around hot cocoa and 'friendship tea', AND cookies to go along with it. On the drive home he was also very obliging in giving us advice of places to visit in Vegas. We took his advice of places to eat the next day (hash house a go go and Ellis Island brewery) and they did not disappoint.

We can not speak highly enough of this tour. Thank you grand adventures, and especially Chad!!!

Our guide was Alfonso, he went above and beyond to cater to EVERYONE on the tour. He took time with everyone to answer questions, take pictures at every stop and make sure every one got what they wanted to eat for breakfast and lunch. He made sure we were on schedule and comfortable.

Also, I emailed a question to the company before we left and I had an answer within the hour! Very helpful. This is definitely the company to pick.
