We took this tour with our excellent guide Alfonso on December 29th and had a brilliant time. Plenty of stops for the restroom and to stretch legs; interesting stops at Seligman and Hoover Dam; yummy lunch and informative commentary. It really was like spending a day with friends! Alfonso knew just the right spots to stop for a photo and his photography skills are outstanding! It was a long day and we were glad to return to Vegas but we would recommend this tour to anyone. The company even refunded the difference between adult and child's fare when they saw the ages of our children - without me even asking! Now that's service! Excellent day that will be one of the best memories of our trip. Thanks Alfonso and Grand Adventures for sending these Aussies home with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

One of the best tours we've been on. We were on the Grand Canyon Winter Sunset tour, and Brett was our tour. Thanks to Brett, everything went on smoothly - he's friendly, chatty, and took really good care of us during the trip. breakfast was at macdonalds, and we could pretty much order anything we want. Along the way, Brett shared with us information of the region (not just of Grand Canyon). He was accommodating to our requests - and i must say the picnic lunch at the canyon is delicious! sandwiches, fruits, cheese and crackers, cookies..there is more than enough to feed all of us. When at the Canyon, Brett took us along the walk, and explained to us the formation of the canyon, what some shrubs and trees were used for, etc. We managed to catch the sunset at the canyon and it was breathtaking! he went out of his way to send us to the old area of las vegas. Thank you Brett for giving us such a wonderful experience!

Alex your are a legend. My wife Judy, daughter Paige and myself (Kerry) did this tour on 07/12/12 and Alex was our tour guide. Everything went to clockwork. We were picked up at our Hotel which Alex said he had never been to. Lucky were were out the front waiting with two other Australians and he spotted us. (Hotel had no signage) Anyway the whole day was great. It was certainly one of the higlights of our three weeks in USA. Only negative was no-one else tipped Alex at the end of the day. I think that he did a great job and deserved to get tips from everyone. After all we tip the doorman and yet we spent all day and half the night with Alex. This just didn't seem fair to me. So if your thinking of going please tip your guide.

We had the good fortune to travel to The Grand Canyon on the winter tour on the 27th December. Our tour guide was Alex, he was really friendly and soon had the small group chatting away.
The weather was cold so we had the picnic lunch on the bus on the way there, so we had a little extra time to explore the Canyon. Due to the cold weather the Canyon itself looked amazing with really fantastic contrasts between the colours of the rock and the white snow.
The small detour onto Route 66 was well worth it, and I will certainly make the effort to watch the film "cars" after stopping at the little barbers shop.
I probably would have overlooked this trip without the reviews I had seen on trip advisor, I urge anyone visiting this area to take advantage of this great little trip, it was a long day, but well worth the time and money.

The Grand Canyon Winter Sunset Tour was a great experience. Because some people canceled last minute, we were a small group of 5 tourists. The long drive to the South Rim wasn't boring at all. I enjoyed seeing the changing landscape along the way, we had two stops to take pictures, hoover dam and a shop at Route 66, and our guide Alfonso entertained us with his knowledge about the sights we were seeing. He was a great guide, very friendly and making sure that we were all having a good time. At the Grand Canyon, we ate lunch with an amazing view over the South Rim. We walked around a little to different spots, Alfonso took pictures of everyone and we also went to a gift shop when it was dark. I highly recommend this tour!
