The room was a little small, but good for one person. I would recommend it for a single guest but not for a couple. If I came back it was be for only a short visit. But my overall view is that it is a good value for the money.

Room Tip: Make sure there is no hair left in the bathroom. My bathroom had long black hair on the floor and m...

No good place to eat. Terrible comps. I will not return. Noisey intersection. Construction going on above our floor. Slots do not pay very well. Other than that, the staff was friendly and made themselves available.

Room Tip: Small and noisey - both traffic noise and construction noise. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...

Bed was so good. shampoo was so silky. It was nice. but no bath tub.
Please set a bathtub for each room and please control noise from the events.
The room was too dark. shower space was too small and water runs into floor. The inside room is open once the entry door is open. No privacy.

Room Tip: bed is excellent. but noise from pool side events were terrible.

Had a great time here, hotel is nice, clean and the service unbeatable. Drai's Tuesday night... HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Only issue I can remember is the room floors being close to street level which is odd for vegas, so that means views suck and you'll hear the traffic so go as high as possible if you can (8th floor)

Room Tip: Get the highest floor possible, they're all pretty near street level and the street noise can be...

I spent a lot of time in my early twenties (and prior) at the Barbary Coast. I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in the door here...First of all, if you had any experience at the Barbary (or Bill's), you would not know you were in the same place. They absolutely gutted the hotel and all the rooms. Somehow, they're able to combine elements to be both classic and trendy at the same time.

I should say that I was staying here as a Total Rewards Diamond member, on a comped stay.

Check in was fast an efficient, and despite being a Diamond mid-week, I was thoroughly disappointed by the location of my room. I was on the lowest floor with guest rooms, and had a view of a large stucco wall.

The rooms are a bit on the small side, but the bathroom/shower were quite nice...The toilet is in a separate room, and the tiled free-standing shower was nice. The room had a very 'old school' feel to it...While everything was brand-spanking new, it had an antiqued feel to it. The decor was nice, albeit a little too avant-garde for me. The portrait on the wall appeared to be an orgy of sorts--no nudity per se, but had a very "Eyes Wide Shut" feel to it. As others have stated, the room is quite dark.

Not sure if it was my Diamond status, but a breakfast buffet was included...Not a huge selection, but good quality food--there was an egg/omelet station...It was served in the middle of the casino in a bar. I also had a bottle of champagne delivered on my first night, and gourmet artisan popcorn left for me on the second night. All was delicious!

On the gaming side, dealers were friendly, as were the floorpersons, cage workers and waitresses. And if you want some INSANE eye candy, the views of the twentysomethings coming to the nightclub around 11PM are amazing! :)

I'll probably stay here again...It's a great alternative if you don't like the big casinos. And you're a 3-minute walk from Caesars, Flamingo, Bally's and Paris.

The good part - Giada's restaurant is fantastic - we loved it and the restaurant staff service was superb.
The not so good part - a deafening 1:30am fire alarm is never great but that was just the start......
We exited the casino via the fire exit stairwell with other guests into an alley wearing just pajamas and "Cromwell" robes.
No staff at the exit to direct us - Security staff continued to monitor the casino since it was "just a false alarm" though Security did give us grief about showing our room keys to get back to the rooms (apparently their especially concerned about burglars in Pajamas!).
No staff on the guest floor to explain / apologize.
No apology / explanation the next morning.
When the fire alarm went off the next evening - we just ignored it and stayed in our room
Complained at check -out over the poor staff response - and were told "We're very concerned, Management will Call " - no-one ever did.

Luxury and Great Customer Service Service are all about anticipation and contingency planning - Apparently the Cromwell hasn't got that part - next time we'll stay at the Mirage for a fraction of the price.

Room Tip: Mirage is a far better deal

Insufficient lighting in the rooms. Can view person showering through the mirror on the opposite side of the shower. No Diamond lounge.
Free continental style breakfast was a plus. Casino personnel helpful. Security at the elevator at all times (except one morning the security officer wasn't watching the elevators and talking/flurting with the roulette attendant.

Room Tip: Bring a reading light and don't share a room with anyone that you're not comfortable seeing...
