What a brilliant tour. We did the early morning tour where we landed in the canyon for champagne breakfast!
It was just amazing! The commentary by our Pilot was informative and funny and the music played through our headphones was brilliant!!
The Grand Canyon is just spectacular!! If you go to Vegas you MUST see it!

We booked the Skywalk Express with Sundance Helicopters (via Thomas Cook's Attractions World) before leaving the UK at a cost of £638. This was a more expensive than booking out there in Vegas, so if you feel confident doing that, then I would.

We were picked up by a very comfortable stretch limo very early on in the morning and headed straight to the airport. We were then checked-in (20 dollar fuel fee payable at this point and you need to take ID) and waited in the room. Every other group left the room and we were left waiting for our pilot to arrive (about 10 minutes after the previous group left). We could have done with more information about what was going on at this point.

We then noticed the rain clouds coming in and started to get worried. We were led out to the helicopter and briefed on the safety. The helicopters are very comfortable (air con!) and have an excellent audio tour. Our pilot was called Russell and he was really EXCELLENT. We made it to the Hoover Dam but then had to turn round due to thunder storms around the Canyon as discovered by the helicopters who went first. Russell was extremely sympathetic and took it upon himself to delivery most of the tour commentary himself on the way back. He also let my Mrs turn the helicopter off, which she loved!

Upon arrival back at the airport, we were the first helicopter back which was great because it meant we were first in the queue to re-book. We were able to re-book free of charge for a couple of days after.

We were then picked up again for our re-booked tour by a stretch limo and started the whole process again. Check-in was a bit quicker this time and luckily there were no clouds, and we also didn't have to pay the 20 dollars again.
But yet again we were the last group to leave the waiting room (by about 15 minutes this time), and again we weren't kept up to date about what was going on (and we could see our helicopter being worked on by engineers!).

The pilot on this occasion was different and although he was polite, he was less talkative than Russell and relied heavily on the audio tour rather than his own words. This helicopter also seemed to have more radio interference than the first one.

BUT, this is an excellent tour which I would thoroughly recommend. The pilots are amazingly talented, the audio tour is informative and entertaining, but mainly, the scenery is out of this world.

Upon arrival at the SkyWalk we were handed onto another tour company and this guide was also excellent - very informative and amusing. We had VIP passes for the SkyWalk included as part of the tour so we bypassed the queues! Camers and bags are not allowed on the SkyWalk, but you get two photos complimentary which the guide collects for you (I guess it would be nice to see these first). There's also an opportunity to take your own photos.

We then boarded the helicopter again and headed back to Vegas, back to the airport and then the stretch limo straight back to the hotel.

All in all, a very memorable experience which I would thorougly recommend. Just a couple of suggestions - make sure if there's one group left in the waiting room for a while that they are kept informed about what is going on, and also employ more check-in agents to get the queues down (I appreciate one chap looked like he was new).

Everything was outstanding about our trip. We went for our 25th anniversary on the sunset trip. I cannot speak highly enough about the company, the pilot and the trip. Definitely go on this trip.

Great value for money and an unforgettable experience. Pilot Dave was really knowledgable and very good at pouring the champagne when we landed in the Grand Canyon. Mac, the limo driver was great fun. A really slick set up with limo pick up and drop off from your hotel. Highly recommended.

I went on this trip in June with a small group of 3. We were picked up outside our hotel in a limo and taken to the airport where we signed in. We paid our service fee and then we were on our way. Our pilot ( i cant remember his name sadly) was excellent and very friendly. We got into the helicopter and took off over the bottom of the strip and over towards Hoover Dam. The pilot was very informative, showing us places of interest down below.

Once we got to the Grand Canyon we were let off and allowed to walk about to take pictures. The scenery was just amazing. We then had some food and champagne and later took some more photos. I would have liked a little more time to look around though.

We set off back to Vegas and flew right down the strip starting from the north. This was fantastic, you really get to see some excellent views of the Las Vegas strip. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is visiting Las Vegas.
