Had great experience...arrived a little early and ordered wine and people watched from the porch into the casino. They seated us early in a quiet area of restaurant. We ate veal parmigiana, shrimp and split a meatball and pasta marinara(angel hair). Service was some of the best I have had...same for the food. Since it was wife's big birthday, got complementary after dinner drink.

This restaurant pick was our big night out in Vegas. We arrived after a show with visions of grandeur and were immediately seated. We were in VEGAS!!! In a famous restaurant!!!! BOY WAS IT LOUD IN THERE!!!! So loud, we asked to be moved to another room hoping it would be quieter. It wasn’t. We were not going to let anyone ruin our BIG night out in Vegas! I’m not big on Italian (Upscale Dining) as described on the menu but we were in VEGAS!! Several service staff members swooped down on our table with water…removed the extra place settings … dropped off menus …and left just as gracefully as if it was all choreographed by a Vegas showgirl! Our waiter appeared quickly with a wine list and took our order. We ordered the “meatballs” for an appetizer. They were moist and flavorful…and large!! Weird thing happened…when they delivered the meatballs…the servers cleared the bread from the table. Noting to dip in the sauce!! We ordered the Pasta Fagioli and the Seafood Salad. Both were good. ONLY GOOD!! The fagioli did not knock my socks off. It was run of the mill. The seafood salad was very tasty. Plenty of lump crabmeat, lobster, and calamari with a nice citrus dressing! The calamari could have been better (it was a little chewy) but the salad was just OK! It lacked that WOW factor that we hoping for. WE WERE IN VEGAS! Our pasta dishes were served tableside (I guess this is the “upscale” that allowed them to charge $23 bucks for spaghetti with red sauce). It was good. NO WOW FACTOR!! We skipped dessert. There was plenty of pasta. I engaged in a short “repartee`” with one of the serves who showed his appreciation by providing a small glass of lemoncello. Would I recommend this place… sure.. give it a shot…will I go back….fahgettaboutit!!!

at least in NYC... here, at MGM in Las Vegas, it's just great Italian food. All four of us loved it! Price was reasonable, at least for Las Vegas. Huge Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail

Although a pricey Strip restaurant, Rao's Italian food is worth the price. The food is well prepared and portions are very ample. Our server promised to advise us if we over-ordered! We had clams casino, veal parmigiana split for 2 and 1/2 order of pasta marinara.. All excellent (could have been hotter). The only downside was the nearby table of shrieking women... But that can happen anywhere.

Here for business meeting. Dropped in for a quick lunch. Excellent fast service, nice atmosphere, good and reasonably priced menu. Had the antipasto plate for lunch ....highly recommend. It is a bit more upscale for dinner, but I bet it is worth it.
