We visited for a large family holiday and LOVED this hotel. I traveled with about 15 of my family and stayed in the Royal Tahitian 2 Bedroom Suite with my partner (we're in our 20s) my sister and our mum and dad. The suite was great, with enough room for us all to feel like we had our own space. They were very clean and the kitchens were so good you could be completely self-catered if you wanted.
The pool was beautiful, and the children we were staying with enjoyed the beach and lazy river. The shuttle service was great too, although we had to wait an hr and half on a Saturday because it was so busy!
All round a great stay in Vegas, and a really lovely hotel!

Having seen the Grand Canyon we drove to Las Vegas as the penultimate stop before getting back to California. The bookings for three small suites were made through Booking.com and everything was going to plan until one of the two cars broke down. Therefore instead of reaching the resort at close to midnight we reached at 2.45 AM.

At the front desk we were told that the hotel had only two suites booked in her name. And I remember thinking to myself that "this is going to be a long night" The lady was rather rude too in the manner she spoke. However the third suite materialized from somewhere and we were all quickly tucked in.

The following morning the kids had a whale of a time in the pool and the adults were busy with other things to do. Spent sometime at the Tahiti Joes restaurant. We walked in with an offer we found at the front desk inside the "Today in Las Vegas" magazine. It read 2-for-1 Dinner Special....Purchase one dinner entree and receive a second or equal of lesser value free. So we ordered six so that only three would get charged. However when the time for dolling out the cash came we noticed only one burger was free. In a very apologetic tone, the waitress told us the advertisement was misleading etc.

Food was good and so were the drinks but we felt a bi cheated. When this was narrated to the Front Desk Manager, he too apologized and extended checkout times by two hours. Unfortunately, on the second day however when we were delayed for checkout beyond the usual times, a number of reminder calls landed up in our rooms clearly indicating there was a communication gap.

Although the rooms were nice and facilities good, there were too many slip-ups. For a timeshare service apartment proudly displaying 4 stars out of 5 travellers rating and "tripadvisor recommended hotel for 2012" sign, I felt it could do a lot better.

Great hotel with an amazing pool and lazy river. Love the atmosphere. Able to relax a little off the strip with shuttle service to the strip. Rooms are beautiful. My new favorite place yo stay in Vegas. Live the fact that there is no casino on site. Spa service average but the lazy river makes up for it. Overall great relaxing experience!

Tahiti Village is off the strip but they have regular shuttle buses to the strip (and other places). We didn't use the shuttle as we rented a car at the airport (the resort is really near the airport car rental place too). It made more sense to rent a car because there was free parking at all casinos and at the resort and the weather was so hot in May that I can't imagine waiting in the heat for the shuttle. The strip was relatively nearby too (<10 mins drive)

We booked the Bora Bora apartment (sleeps 4) and it is really nicely decorated and clean. The room also comes with a well-equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer! The smaller outlet mall is just across the street too.

My wife and I had a two night stay at TV. The resort was everything we could ask for; well maintained, clean, quiet, and a friendly staff. Wonderful relaxing lazy river with poolside bar. We relaxed in the pool looking up at the palm trees surrounding us and felt like we were in our own oasis. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos, this is your place. Going back in August

We rented 2 nights and checked in around noon on friday and the only room available was in a smoking room. We aren't super picky so we took it. It was building 2, floor 6 and holy smoke batman! I should have known the minute the elevator opened it was not going to be good. I rented the Moorea thinking that it was the Bora Bora, so I was highly disappointed in the room. I'm sure I could have paid for an upgrade but for 2 nights I just settled. It was a pool view, however the odd setup of the room put the mini kitchen/living room in the front, with the bedroom in the back with the only window in the entire condo. So if the bedroom door was closed the rest of the condo was pitch dark. No balcony either. So dark room plus stale cigarette smoke was not very pleasing.

We typically choose timeshares because we have children and instead of a single crappy hotel room you have complete condos with kitchens, dining rooms and balconies, with access to BBQ's, pools and common areas (generally all in the same area) so you can tote your cooler around and have snacks and it's laid back with no pressure to purchase the resorts "stuff". That is not how this resort operates. It is so disjointed and complicated to get around. The pool area is separate from the lazy river and it's all divided by locked gates that you need your room key to access. Two BBQ areas are around the resort but not convenient if you are in the pool area and usually occupied all day and night by the same people.

No outside food and drink is allowed in the pool area so they nickel and dime you with every crappy order. FYI just because you buy a $15 reusable mug, do not think they will refill it and don't even think about bringing it in the next day because they change straw colors so you have to keep buying their crap (or find the right color straw to put in your old drink). All I wanted one day after running around was my mug filled with ice water...nope, they don't do that. I could buy a bottle of water though or fill a styrofoam cup with camp cooler water. Where are all the environmental people when you need them? When I'm staying at a 5* resort like the Encore or the Wynn in Las Vegas, I expect to buy their stuff at premium prices. I do not like this concept at a 3* timeshare resort that's geared towards affordable family vacations.

We met 2 other families there and they were both put in building 5 which was way nicer than building 2. The Bora Bora suite in building 5 was very nice and I wouldn't have complained about the room if that would have been what I rented. The other couple was put into the Moorea and they ended up upgrading because they hated the floor plan. We have access with RCI to exchange to Tahiti Village but I don't think we will be returning, not anytime soon anyway. I'm still irritated with all of the little inconveniences.

For what it's worth...spend the extra $ and rent the Bora Bora, ask for building 5, plan on buying overpriced food and drinks at the pool, plan on BBQ areas being over crowded and hogged by the same groups of people day after day, and ask for 6 room keys so everyone in your group can access all the locked areas. Plan on these things and you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Book the Bora Bora in building 5

Tahiti Village is a time share resort, which you can either buy, use RCI points or book as a hotel. We used points to stay at the property. I would rate this 3 1/2 stars if possible, since it is not a luxurious resort. However, the rooms are large with adequate closet and drawer space, beds are comfortable and the resort is well maintained and has a tropical theme. It is perfect for families because it is reasonable and sleeps four or more. We were a couple and were happy in the smaller suite. The hotel has a Denny's on its premises, which turned out to be better than we expected. The other restaurant is not worth the money or the calories. The two pools were wonderful and there were sufficient chairs and palapas by which to sit. I read some reviews complaining about the elevators. We had no problem with them in building 5 and we were on the 10th floor. Other reviewers complained about the long trek between the buildings and the lobby but we didn't think the walk was long at all. There are two shopping centers nearby, including the upscale Town Square with a humongous movie theatre, and an outlet center. The strip was only 10 minutes away. If you are not planning to spend most of your time gambling, and want to avoid the crowds at the strip hotel, this is a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Building 5 is the newest and has its own concierge and fitness room. The spa is there are well.

Thank you for exchanging into Tahiti Village. We are happy that our accommodations were comfortable and spacious, and that you enjoyed the tropical theme. We are glad that you found our pool area wonderful and our location convenient. We regret to learn of your experience at Tahiti Joe's. We hope your experience there won't affect your decision to stay with us again. Thank you for your feedback.
