“Always great!”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

If you like more of a resort feeling than the hustle of a casino, this is your place. Nice pool and lazy river surrounded by a lush vegetation. The rooms are like an apartment and spacious. They have a shuttle service to the strip and the place is fairly priced. Be aware though they will charge you an extra $11+ resort fee when you check in.

Thank you for visiting Tahiti Village. It’s always great to read such a nice review. Our Tahitian-themed resort is 180 degrees from the traditional Las Vegas hotel. What we lack in casino games we more than compensate for in spacious suites, aquatic attractions and resort amenities. As you mentioned, each of our units is like a home away from home, especially our deluxe 1,500-square foot Royal Tahitian. Many of our owners and guests take advantage of our free shuttle service, which stops at two Strip resorts twice an hour. It’s a great way to have a traditional Las Vegas experience without staying on the Strip. We implemented a daily $10 resort fee in lieu of charging for individual activities, which can end up costing more than a static resort fee depending on usage. Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We hope to see you again soon.

So glad my home resort offered us a chance to stay at Tahiti Village. Check in was a breeze and all the staff have been extremely friendly.

We have a two bedroom unit which is absolutely beautiful and very large. Couldn't be any cleaner and well maintained.

While they aren't in the heart of the strip, they are very close to the airport and Mandala Bay. I find it convenient as I rent a car no matter where I am staying on the strip.

Free shuttles to the strip to NY NY and the Mirage, they run frequently.

Will stay here anytime I am in Vegas.

Thank you for exchanging into Tahiti Village. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The arrival of our new front office manager has resulted in expedited check-in times. We want to get you into your suite as quickly as we can – especially when it’s as spacious and beautiful as our deluxe Royal Tahitian. At more than 1,500 square feet, it includes a full kitchen, kitchenette, washer-dryer, steam shower, jetted tub and two private bedrooms with king beds. Try finding all that in a standard Las Vegas hotel room for our great price. We are two miles south of Mandalay Bay on Las Vegas Boulevard. The Strip is easily accessible by car, cab or our convenient shuttle. It makes stops at two Strip resorts twice an hour. Thank you for sharing your comments. We are happy to hear you would stay with us again and look forward to seeing you soon.

My parents are owners of this timeshare. We have been going there for years! I thought it was a great place until this last trip. We had a family and friends trip this month. When we got there 2 out of 3 rooms were not ready! During the first night, one of the doors to our room was latched open as if someone came in! Then the sink of one of the rooms was leaking! Then after we check out, 3 days after my parents get a bill for freaking $400!!!! They said we broke 4 lampshades and damaged the carpet because someone throw up! How and why would someone ruin four lampshades in one room!!!! We are not stupid people who cant control their alcohol! How could a hotel accuse you of acting like animals!!! I wonder if they should ask the maid about those damages. We saw her right when we left the room for checkout. The rooms where completely fine! She was cleaning the rooms right beside us, so I know who she is!!! I have read several comments regarding wrongful room damage charges that also had to do with maybe a non englsih maid. So, my Dad called the hotel and spoke to the manager and he was not helpful at all! He kept stating, "well that is what the maid reported!" How does the Manager, the maid and rest of the staff sleep at night?!?!! How do you treat people who are considered owners of this timeshare like that? Don't they know that ownership helps them put food on the table! Never again, I want my parents to sell their timeshare, they are rude, liars and not good people!

We implement a three-step procedure that involves independent verification and validation before an owner or guest is charged for damage. The steps are as follows:

1. Damage is identified by a guest room attendant and reported to the housekeeping supervisor
2. The housekeeping supervisor verifies the damage and notifies security to conduct an investigation
3. Upon completion of the investigation, security contacts the manager on duty (in this case the assistant general manager of Tahiti Village), who determines if a guest should be charged for damages

As you can see, we are obligated to follow a protocol and do not make arbitrary judgments. We reach a conclusion based on the evidence and deductive reasoning. Since it is not in our interest to destroy our own property, as you suggest in your review, and the damage occurred while you were in possession of the unit, we were left with the only logical conclusion. There is no incentive for a guest room attendant to break lamps and vomit on the carpet, and then leave an empty alcohol bottle on the floor to implicate the occupants. Your intimation that we intentionally damage our rooms to levy fraudulent charges on our owners or guests is a preposterous misstatement of material fact. We have emailed photos of the broken lamps and soiled carpet to your parents to show them the extent of the damage. We value their ownership and regret that it falls on them to clean up the mess.

Loved it here. So beautiful. Nice location close to strip and still far enough away to be in your own little paradise. Highly recommend anyone to stay here. Free shuttle to and from strip. Tons of activities for everyone. Pool and family hot tub. They also have a new adult only hot tub. Staff are all wonderful. Very pleasent. They even printed our boarding passes for us for free. This is a must see to believe!

Room Tip: Ground floor with pool view. Higher floors for mountain or Las Vegas strip view.

Hello, A M. We have received many favorable reviews over the years, but this is our first Triple Wow! Thank you for your enthusiasm and complimentary remarks. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. You are exactly right when you say we’re close to the Strip but far enough away to enjoy your own little paradise. We are just two miles south of Mandalay Bay on Las Vegas Boulevard. The resort corridor is easily accessible by car, cab or our convenient free shuttle, which makes stops at two Strip resorts twice an hour. Conversely, we are a great place to unwind after you’ve enjoyed a traditional Las Vegas experience. Our sand-entry beach pool, Lazy River and two spas offer hours of relaxing fun. Thank you once again for sharing your comments. We hope you will consider us again.

I really enjoyed our room and the check in service was excellent. I was in building 5 over looking the lazy river. It was wonderful all until we checked out. Then there was a party rental truck delivering items and wouldn't move so we could leave our parking space. I informed a staff member wearing a blazer and he laughed and kept walking and brushed me off. I then told another staff member and he point blank stated "he is delivering to the property beside us I should have parked in the parking garage" and stated he wouldn't tell them to move the truck.
Needless to say I would not recommend this resort for customer service.

Room Tip: building 5 next to the parking garage

We sincerely apologize for the incident with the party rental truck. It is disappointing to hear of the response you received from our resort staff. Providing friendly, helpful customer service is our top priority, and it would appear we fell well below our own standards in this case. Ideally our first staff member would have taken ownership of the situation, tracked down the driver and politely asked him to move the truck. It is doubly disappointing that our second staffer responded in the same manner. Once again, we apologize for the poor effort. We hope you will give us another opportunity to make a better impression.

we split our vacation between Tahiti Village and Mandalay Bay, and wow after leaving Mandalay and arriving here it didn't even feel like Vegas I felt like I was somewhere else. Sure we liked the strip but it was nice to visit and then go somewhere tropical. We had a Moorea suite and it really did have everything. The kitchenette had a toaster, microwave and a mini fridge as well as all dishes, cutlery for 4 people. Also had bbq utensils to use a the 2 bbq areas (which have tables and chairs and sun umbrellas) They also supplied a dish washcloth and towel and soap to wash the dishes with and there was a garb-orator. the Master bedroom was nice and the bed was comfortable. The teenage boys didn't love the sofabed but only mentioned it once. Everything else was great. We had one full pool day and they did the lazy river and the pool and hottub. My only complain was the shampoo and conditioner wasn't great but I will bring my own next time... and I will return here but I would get the room with the full kitchen and then I can get a roll away so the kids don't have to share. I would also get groceries and bbq. We did get breakfast sandwiches from the wiki store and mircowaved them for breakfast one day and food from the pool bar. I wish we had been here for the full week...oh well next time! Next time we'll do the red rock shuttle as well.

Nice resort. Friendly staff and good response times to requests. Shuttle to strip works pretty well. They do their best to accomodate all the guests by freely adding additional shuttles to handle over-loads. We stayed in one of other property owned by this company ( Club Desoleil) and found Tahiti Village much better. Only real complaints was the parking situation, but given the current property layout, they are doing the best they can. Only real negative was their restaurant/bar called Tahiti Joe's. What a disaster! With only a moderate number of customers ( not a surprise), it took us over a 1.5 hours to get a simple, mediocre dinner. There appeared to be no manager, and the 2 wait staff seemed pretty inapt, when you could find them.
