Overall, this was a nice change of pace from the hectic scene of the strip. If you want to be a little more laid back this is the place to be. While it's not really Tahiti or Hawaii, if you were having a mai tai under the umbrella by the pool and surrounded by palm trees and warm weather, you could almost imagine you are there. Staff was nice, timeshare presentation was short and sweet with not much pressure. The shuttle to the strip was very nice and having Denny's at the location saved some money on dining out. Also the Premium outlet mall is next door so you can do some shopping without paying the ridiculous prices for the same items at the luxury hotels. Activity center was a hit for the teenage kids and the fitness room was nice for the wife and I.

Just thought I should post a review , since I was very skeptical after reading some of the other reviews. We had an awsome experience at tahiti village. I can't even come up with anything to complain about. My husband and I traveled with our 6 and 8yr old. It is a fabulous place to go with young kids. The pool and lazy river were excellent. And so was everything else about it. You didn't even know you were in Las Vegas unless you went to the strip. Everything was convenient to walk to and the shuttle was excellent. I didn't really care about wifi since we were there for leisure. I would highly recommend this place. We loved it!

Hotel: We liked that it was more family oriented and off the strip. Everything was clean and tidy and it was a really nice looking hotel.

Room: We were in Tower 5 in the far end of the first floor in a BoraBora suite (1 bedroom, full kitchen). Close to the parking garage. We sleep with the fan on so noise wasn't an issue for us. We were pleased with the size of the suite. Plenty of room for a family of four. The kitchen was well appointed and very clean. I wish there was an option for two beds rather than a bed and a sofabed. The kids weren't impressed having to share the sofabed while we had a nice comfy king sized bed. I also wish they had free wi-fi in the rooms, but on the last day we saw a sign that said you could get a wifi stick for $7 for the week. We just went to Denny's a couple of times for brekkie and checked emails there.

Housekeeping: There is no housekeeping unless you stay for more than 7 nights, but any time we needed anything I'd just pop my head out into the hall and ask a housekeeper for a couple of extra towels or toilet paper. If there's no one in the hall, there's a number you can call for housekeeping. I wanted 2 extra pillows and a blanket, they were there in 15 minutes. I actually prefer not having people in my room when I'm not there so that wasn't an issue at all. One thing I loved was that there is a stacking washer/dryer in the suite!

Security: I felt very comfortable here. There was staff everywhere and we noticed several security cameras around the property as well.

Pools: The pool and lazy river were great. They keep it very clean and are always tidying up wet towels and straightening out the deck chairs . Drinks at the poolside bar were a little on the expensive side ($10 for about a 10 oz Pina Colada). There's a sign on the door that says no outside food or beverages, but it seemed as though everyone there had their own drinks so they obviously don't enforce that rule.

Shuttle: The shuttle was great - always on time and friendly drivers. It took about 15 minutes to get into the strip and they drop off at NYNY and The Mirage.

Car rental: We wanted to go to red Rock Canyon so inquired at the concierge desk about renting a car. They said they had a 'deal' where we could get a 3 day rental of a mid sized car for $25 with unlimited mileage through Budget. Of course when I said "What's the catch" they said we just had to take a tour of the property. My husband and discussed it and the concierge promised us that it was very low pressure (of course he would!) and that they weren't the same as the ones we see in Mexico. We figured we were strong minded enough to sit through and not buy a time share so decided to do it. We set our tour up for the last day we were there so he 'pre-gifted' us the car rental (we took advantage of the gift 3 days before the presentation) and took a $200 deposit. We toured Red Rock Canyon, Boulder City and Hoover Dam. We also took the car down to Circus Circus and the Mirage - both had free parking close to the hotels. They gave us all kinds of show tickets, but most of them were for crap shows in the middle of the day so we didn't bother. We mostly wanted the car. Picking up the car was kind of a pain because they use the Budget about 20 minutes from TV, but drop off was quite convenient about 5 minutes from TV. We walked home after dropping it off - maybe a 15 minute walk.

Time share spiel: We googled 'How to get through a time share presentation' to get tips on going and not being sucked in to buying a time share. (Lots of funny stuff out there!) We opted for just telling our tour guide, Michelle, straight up that we were in no way interested in buying and didn't travel all that much to make use of it. She was totally nice and said that's okay, but she has to spend a certain amount of time with us so could she use us for 'practice'. No problem as we enjoyed seeing more of the property. She actually did a great presentation and didn't once pressure us. There was a 'try before you buy' option for $5600 for 2 weeks a year for 5 years. Didn't sound unreasonable for anyone who did travel a lot, but it still wasn't for us. We were done in an hour.

I think that's it! I would definitely stay here again with family.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a pool view in Tower 5

Rooms at Tahiti village have many amenities. One bedrooms have jetted tubs and steam shower. Sleep 4 - one bedroom has king and living room had a fold out queen. The bus stop is right in back of parking garage. Multiple trips in 24 hours $7. multiple day passes are available. Guests can walk to Outback, Dunkin Donuts, Chilli's,
IHOP, and many other restaurants without adding a rental car or paying high cab fares. Premium outlet Mall is right next door. Bus goes everywhere else that is important - skip the car. There is a Tahiti Village courtesy shuttle to New York/New York and Mirage hotels. There are at least 2 private shuttle companies, CLS and ACL?, that will deliver you to TV $32. RT on CLS. So don't believe the TV information people when they tell you there isn't any companies that bring guests to TV. Internet available at a cost $10. day for hard wired and $7. daily for WIFI.

Not sure why so many complaints. Everything...and all the staff are awesome. Rooms are very clean.....tired of hearing of the ONE roll of TP...the cart is always on the floor....ask for more...so simple!
Tons of parking...NO BUGS (maybe shut your patio doors who ever was complaining). Shuttle runs every 30 minutes for free....great security.....VERY CLEAN!!

Look - it isn't the Bellagio or anything like that, but for the huge room, the cool pools, and amenities - it is a really good place to go with kids.

Tahiti Village was on the far end of the famous strip! The hotel provides a shuttle with wonderful drivers who were so informative! The concierges were very helpful with show info and places of interest. You really need a car if you want to go anywhere but down on the strip. Be sure to take the trip to go downtown for the laser show. The casino downtown are lots of fun and the food is outstanding in the casinos at a fraction of the price it is on the strip! Hoover Dam and the new bridge are a must see! The lazy river at the resort is very nice. The mall across the street was not too impressive! We were is a suite with a limited kitchen which works great for two people!!! WIFI not too good, have to pay for it or try to get a signal off of the attached restaurant.
