“Great place to stay - with in walking distance to the LV strip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2014

Our 4th stay at the Platinum and will continue to stay here. All suite rooms, spacious, clean. All staff are attentive and friendly. Love the no gaming, no smoking, no resort fee. With in a two block walk to the strip.

Room Tip: Princess suite with balcony strip view

Stayed four days in a Princess suite with balcony strip view. Hotel upgraded us for no extra cost when I realised the room we had booked did not have the washing machine and dryer. Room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable and king sized. Blackout curtains were very good and allowed us to have a decent sleep in. A safe was provided as well as cupboard space for hanging clothes. The room was very clean, however it was noted that hallways were not vacuumed once during our stay - there was a bottle top outside our door on check in that was still there when we checked out.

There was a problem with the air conditioning in our room which was fixed immediately upon notification to front desk staff. Bathroom was very large with spa bath and plenty of towels and toiletries were provided. We did not cook in the kitchen but it had a dishwasher and full sized fridge.

We dined in the restaurant for breakfast on two occasions. The restaurant overlooks the pool. Servers were pleasant and prices reasonable. We ordered room service once - this was convenient and the food was good quality.

My partner and I both had massages at the on site spa. I tried to book massages at the same time but was told there was only one therapist working. The spa automatically adds a 30% gratuity so it cost almost $400 for us to have an 80 minute massage. I think it should be up to the customer to decide whether a gratuity has been earned and how much gratuity to pay.

Valet parking is free; the valet staff are friendly and efficient but if you are coming and going several times a day the cost of tips quickly adds up. The hotel was very accommodating in storing our luggage both before check in and after check out. We had cocktails in the bar during happy hour - these were half price and expertly made.

Staff on the front desk appeared to be generally unenthusiastic (particularly the females) but service was adequate. There is no casino which means the hotel is much quieter and it is a short walk to the strip.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and should we ever return to Vegas, we would stay again.

We enjoyed 9 nights in this hotel and we can only recommend it!! Great place to stay for a family.
Close to the Strip but still very quiet. It has no casinos and that means no smoke in the hotel - very nice!

We stayed here for a week in August. This hotel is about a 10 minuite walk to the back of Bally's and is great for families or anyone who wants to escape from the madness of the strip. It does not have a casino and is much quieter and smaller than many of the strip hotels. Our room was huge and had a kitchen, Living room, bedroom and a massive bathroom. It also had a washing machine and dryer in the room which was very useful. It also had a view of the strip and a balcony. there was free wi-fi and a great pool and hot tub. there were many umbrellas for shade. there was also a resturant on the same floor where you could order food and eat it around the pool. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Strip view rooms have a great view.

We're not big on gambling, or Vegas for that matter, but opted to overnight there while driving home from a job in LA that ran later than expected. We were thrilled to find a property off the strip with no casino (but has close access for those who enjoy that). We booked a "basic suite" (1203) which was 910 sq. ft. with full kitchen at an amazing price. It was spacious, and extremely comfortable with a tasteful decor. My only suggestion to management would be to include a fry pan, sauce pan with cover, and a spatula to make the beautiful, full size, granite countered kitchen, with nice appliances really usable.

Room Tip: This hotel is not on the strip, but has room views that face the strip, like ours. We enjoyed the n...

Had to overnight in Vegas on a driving trip home from LA and can't stand the Strip. Searched for off-Strip properties with some degress of class--found the Platinum and loved it: on Flamingo about 3 long blocks east of the Strip. Classy, elegant service and affordable: our fully-equipped 910 sq. foot suite was about $155 plus tax, etc. Huge rooms and we had a great view east towards the city lights. Free wi-fi , valet parking, and pretty great burger from room service. A welcome respite from the usual Vegas madness.

Room Tip: We liked the west-facing room with a view of the Strip
