This was our 2nd stay in 3 years. We would have stayed here our 1st year had we known about this hotel. Much more like a condo. Stayed a week and was plenty big for us. One year, we even had another player stay w/us and still had plenty of privacy. Saved money by buying groceries at Albertson's 5 minutes away for breakfast and lunch. Close enough to the Strip the boys could walk by themselves (they are seniors this year, though). Pool was the only thing that lacked for them...no girls! Not as many as at the larger hotels had, but other teammates were there, so they visited them to swim. Best part: the washer and dryer! With all the basketball games played in this heat - it was definitely needed every night.

Any negatives? Beds were a little softer than I like. Did not have time to use the spa.

Room Tip: We asked for a higher room, looking out to the mountains. No mountains in the Midwest! Didn't...

Thanks for returning and thank you for the review. We definitely offer somethings that normal hotels cannot, especially regarding teams. The full kitchens and washer/dryers can be key to a trip like yours. Please tell the fellas sorry we didn't have what they were looking for at the pool. Hope to see you again next year!

IF you really must go to Las Vegas.....The Platinum is a quiet relaxed sanctuary, not too far from the strip and all the Las Vegas madness.

All of our rooms were fantastic - enormous with little kitchens, sitting rooms, balconies and amazing picture windwos in the bedrooms. I was on the top floor with great views of the mountains.

The pool is good although packed at some points in the evening. It's a pity they have to have banging music even out there - even when there w3as noone swimming. It's a Vegas thing....But they turned it off when we asked, no problem.

The bar is nice and waitresses helpful. The dining area is also nice and service a bit mixed but mainly helpful.

All in all I would highly recommend the hotel - expecially the rooms.

Room Tip: choose mountain view at the back and to the top

We appreciate the wonderful comments. "Sanctuary" is a great way of describing Platinum. We do aim for this niche and often "retreat" is often used too. It can be nice after a day full of buzzing machines and craziness of the Strip, to go back to something a little more relaxing. We hope you come back soon!

The Platinum is a few blocks off the strip, but it's the absolute best. It's quiet and intimate and feels so exclusive since it's all spacious suites. We got a great deal from sniqueaway.com as well!

About a year or so later, I was treated to a spa day there and it is the most relaxing spa I have ever been too. Hands down, one of my favorite spots!

Thank you for the great review. We do appreciate it. Often one of the items our guests miss is our Well Spa. It's very relaxing and quite a bit cheaper than many other options around the strip.

The Princess Suite was roomy and felt more like a one bedroom apt than a hotel. The refrigerator had crushed/cubed ice and water in the door. Didn't have to buy bottled water during our stay. The free Wi-Fi in the room was also a plus. The bathroom was large enough for three women to use the vanity area at the same time. Our room was on the 16th floor facing away from the strip but we had a great view of the planes landing at the airport and the mountains but the planes were far enough away so there was no noise. Don't pay extra for a strip view unless this is your first trip to Vegas. Gambling next door at the Tuscany where they also had two bars, one with Keroke and one with a band. Food was excellent (and cheap) at Ellis Island next to hotel but the casino part was old & smoky. Valet parking was great, quick & they held the door open like a doorman would. Easy walk to the strip. Desk service was quick & friendly. Nice pool on 5th floor (needs greenery) and a full gym. Balcony had table/4 chairs & nice place to have a drink & relax. Maintenance was needed to open the door the first time (stuck) but no problems after that. Comfortable beds, 2 TVs & stereo & a fireplace (but it was 100 degrees). Good value & good safe location.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have less street noise. View away from strip was nice because you could see the airpla...

Recently stayed here with family for short Vegas trip. I would strongly recommend for families. Along with the lack of casino and non-smoking hotel, staff seemed great with kids. It has a family friendly pool environment and the rooms are large with lots of room for kids to play and parents to have their space. Very close to other casinos and if you need to go to the strip it is not far. Room was well maintained. Valet and wifi were also nice to have and something missing at a lot of hotels. Would certainly recommend to others with families or anyone else really travelling through Vegas. Wife used spa and spoke highly of it but we have little to compare on this...

We literally could not believe that the room we got was actually ours, it was so amazing! We stayed in a princess suite with a strip view (definitely worth the extra $$).
We loved the luxury feel of the hotel, with a really large living area, bedroom, bathroom (including separate deep bath) and kitchen. The bathroom having 2 sinks was another nice inclusion! The bath products were lovely and we had plenty of towels. Also liked that we had a washing machine and dryer that meant we could catch up on some washing when we were there (boring I know, but we were halfway through our holiday!)
Because Vegas is so hot and crowded, we enjoyed having our little sanctuary at the hotel. It was tempting not to leave at all! We also really liked that it didn't feel tacky and over the top like the other hotels in Vegas, and were very grateful not to have to walk through a smoke-filled casino to get to our room.
Staff were really helpful with things such as postage and dinner recommendations.
We both enjoyed our stay and loved this luxurious hotel, probably the nicest place I've ever stayed!

Room Tip: Definitely get a strip view, it's really nice, and the princess suite was beautiful - we couldn...
