We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Platinum for 4 nights while attending a softball tournament in Las Vegas. It was great to come back to relax in the jacuzzi in our fantastic Strip view room or at the rooftop pool for refreshments before heading out for a short walk to the hustle and bustle of the Strip. We've stayed at other hotels in Vegas but this was by far the best! The early mornings we were able to make a quick breakfast in the full size kitchen but we also had breakfast twice in the restaurant. Both the service and food were excellent as were all of the staff we encountered. We will definitley be coming back to the Platinum on our next trip to Las Vegas!

I found this hotel using Tripadvisor and I'm so glad I did. The hotel is one walkable block from the centre of the strip but away from all the hubbub. We arrived early and our room with a view of the strip wasn't ready so we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite on the 16th floor. Were we delighted! As 2 light aircraft pilots, we had a bird's eye view of the airport, which, as far as we were concerned, was better than the strip. And no noise problems. The room was luxurious and spacious with a full kitchen and huuuge bathroom, excellent large windows and a balcony, though looking down was not high on the agenda. The breakfast was delivered by a lovely young woman who treated us like royalty. The valet parking guys were a hoot! The desk staff were delightful, the booking follow-up and after-stay communications were A-one. If you're after a peaceful and private visit to Las Vegas, pick this.

Room Tip: Go up if you can

We and another couple booked in suite 919, a 1950 square foot room with 2 king bedrooms. The room was in desperate need of a good clean; the glass on sliding door was dirty, there was a layer dirty between the glass surface and wood of the dinning table, there was dirty in all the corners of the tiled surfaces, and the hall carpets on the 9th floor needed a good clean as well. On our first full day in Vegas we returned to our room after 430pm to fined our room still not made up. Saturday night the hotel had rented the pool area out for a wedding; loud music when on until way after midnight, keeping us all up. This was after we were reminded at check in that there is no partying was allowed at this hotel. We had breakfast at the hotel twice, both mornings the food arrived at table lukewarm. All the staff seemed very nice and easy to deal with. It was nice to see free valet parking. The hotel is long 1 1/2 blocks from the Strip.

Room Tip: Rooms facing over the pool can be very loud if area is booked for a wedding.

I truly apologize for the uncleanliness of your room. It is unacceptable and we appreciate the feedback so that we can address it with our housekeeping staff.

Stayed 3 nights at the Platinum and was quite satisfied. It is a block from the strip so if you want to be in the middle of all the action, then don't do the Platinum. For me, it was a perfect escape from the bustle of the strip.

I found the service excellent. Check-in was so easy. No long lines like at Caesers or the other big hotels/casinos on the strip. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and very good. Valet service was fast and efficient. We had one minor problem. Housekeeping forgot the washcloths one day and this was immediately rectified when I called (plus they brought extra towels).

On the down side, the room decor could use an update. Also, all rooms are not exactly the same. We stayed in one room for 2 nights on the 5th floor, then left Vegas for a few days and returned for 1 night on the 15th floor. The 5th floor room had a washer/dryer and a bigger TV in the living room. Everything else was identical.

Overall, a good value.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Platinum, We still had a great time, but wow is the AC loud, the first night awoke to a loud AC unit. At first I had a bad dream that I was at home and a heavy rain was hitting our bedroom windows, but it the AC. But we did have a great stay. We also enjoyed that the homeless/Panhandlers and Drunks have been removed from the corner. This trip we did not see a bum fight on the corner, this made wife feel safer walking

This is a cracker of a hotel.
The rooms are vast and the kitchens fully fitted.

Having breakfast in the morning on the balcony was fantastic.
Had a small problem with getting the right room and although not sorted out, the room we were in was really impressive.

If you have a room that looks towards the strip you see the back of the hotels. Although this doesn't sound very glamorous it is actually quite a spectacular view.

Below our room was a service block. I had asked for a higher room but again this request didn’t seem to have been received.

There is a 7/11 just round the corner that supplies sufficient for meals.

One great advantage of this hotel is that is away from the strip and hence quiet. A small disadvantage to this is that there is a short walk from the monorail through Bally’s to get to it. Although it is not any real distance in the Vegas heat it can feel like a long way. This should not put you off though.

This is a fantastic hotel and one I am really pleased to have stayed at.

Room Tip: Have a strip view and go as high as possible

Booked this hotel through Expedia at $150 a nite for 5 nites in a princess suite with a strip view and balcony.Full kitchen, twin door fridge with ice maker ,lounge, huge bedroom with king bed, washing machine and dryer, massive bathroom with hot tub could easily have been mistaken for an apartment.Okay, the hallway had some stains on the carpet but rooms were pretty good and maintained daily.Free valet parking and high speed wireless internet and only a five minute walk to the strip.7/11 next door to stock the fridge and shop across the road. This was easy my best and value hotel i stayed at during my trip to US and will come back to Vegas and stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: I know all rooms have balconies but not sure if they all have strip views.Ask for a strip view.
