“There is No Better Place to Hold a Business Meeting or Event!”
Reviewed October 5, 2011

My company holds several professional events both around the US and internationally every year and I can honestly say that The Platinum tops the list of places I have visited. First of all we do an event in Vegas every year or so and it is always a challenge. Land in the heart of the strip and attentions wander, too far from the strip and you have rooms full of pouting professionals. The location cannot be beat, right next to Bally's and a quick walk anywhere you need to be. As far as the event itself, the attention that the staff gave the members of our group was nothing short of amazing. Marie Quinby runs a fantastic events team. No request seemed to be too big or too small. However, they were so detail oriented that we did not have much left to request, and I will readily admit we can be pretty high maintenance. Lauren Simms and Alejandra Ramirez ran our day to day coverage for meals, snacks, etc. and never missed a beat. More importantly they made it a point to quickly learn the needs and likes of each participant and quickly had things ready and waiting for everyone before they could ask. Truly a great team!

Now as for the hotel itself... Prepare for the biggest bang for your business buck ever. When we do these conventions I expect a Marriott style room (and there is nothing wrong with that), but was greeted with something out of the Hangover for the same price. For the same price as an average room in any other city I had a full kitchen with granite countertops, a washer and drier, a fireplace, a balcony, a bathroom the size of a small apartment, and a king size bed that rivaled any of the high dollar chains for comfort. Additionally, they have a great lounge downstairs with very reasonable prices and a happy hour from 4-8 that was a great way to unwind at the end of the day.

As you can tell, I became a huge fan, and WILL go back for business and even vacations any time I go to Vegas. This place is can't miss, but the main reason was the people. A big thanks to Marie and her staff again!

Room Tip: I had the Princess Suite. OK, I would give it a different name, but it is outstanding and you will...

partner and I have just returned from a visit to the west coast of america.
booked the platinum hotel based on the previous trip advisor comments.
we were not disappointed.
the room or should i say apartment was huge. the facilities included full kitchen with cooker, fridge, dishwasher and even a washing machine and dryer. as we were travelling around we made use of the washing machine, they even supplied the washing powder.

the staff are professional and friendly and i believe that they made an effort to make our stay a pleasureable one.

had a great view from our balcony. at night the city just sparkles and you could not get a better view.

loved using the pool area in the morning. it was quiet and we were able to a little sunbathing before the sun got to hot.

we will be back in vegas and we know where we will be staying.

The Platinum is an excellent alternative to strip hotels. Spacious rooms with full kitchens and large baths and sitting areas. The strip view rooms have roomy balconies. Friendly staff and a wonderful four hour happy hour every day. Very reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Strip view rooms cost extra.

We stayed at the Platinum recently and will return. Hotel was quiet compared to the hoopla at other "name" hotels and that is what we wanted. We had a complimentary upgrade of room...beautiful suite. Beautiful decor and very clean. Service, whether at front desk, door or room, was consistently excellent. Every request was answered, "My pleasure." The lounge was great for relaxing and the food was very good. Great experience!

We have spent the past five nights at the Platinum and have found everything to exceed our expectations. We had two Princess Suites next to each other, both with Strip views - one for us & one for our two teens. The rooms are absolutely huge with full kitchen facilities & washer/dryer. Ok, I'm not doing any cooking BUT it's great to be able to make coffee & have a bowl of cereal before heading out. The pool is well maintained & not too overpopulated. The service has been exceptional - I've only had occasion to call housekeeping once, and they were here within 5 minutes. The Valet team are friendly and efficient. If you're a gym junkie, the fitness facilities are great - good quality cardio equipment + a room full of Freemotion cable machines. The kids would have rather stayed on the strip as the walk back & forth can be tedious at times, but I'm more than happy to leave the bustle behind and come back to a smoke free, quiet environment. I've spoken to a few Aussies around the place who have all had major tales of woe with respect to the larger on-strip hotels and their complete lack of customer service. Here, we've experienced none of that. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone.

Our recent stay at the Platinum was our first, and a very pleasant one at that. you really can't go wrong here for the price either. all the rooms are full size suites - FULL kitchen, living area, nice size bedroom and a huge bathroom! and some rooms even have a washer/dryer combo, although ours didn't. the bed was super comfy and we slept like champs. nice billowy, yet firm pillows!

this is a very nice, quiet little hotel(little by Las Vegas standards!). there is no casino on the property, which for us was nice since we don't gamble much, plus, it's completely no smoking! so it didn't have that lingering stale smokey smell, that seems to be ever present in Vegas (even in the big posh hotels!), in fact, it smelled really good when you walked in, like a lavender/aromatherapy scent...very nice! we liked the pool area a lot because it wasn't packed with people like some of the other "big name" hotels tend to be. there were plenty of towels, comfy lounge chairs and even lounge beds available.

we didn't get a chance to try the restaurant although it looked very nice and well appointed. the complimentary valet parking was nice too, especially after a long day of walking around and you don't feel like parking a car and walking more! the valets were quite friendly and were always quick to get the doors for you too. all the staff at the hotel were friendly and willing to help with whatever you needed.

this hotel isn't for everybody, especially if you want the loud, gambling, drunken-fest and non-stop party scene that is otherwise Las Vegas. or if you like the mainstream, big name, enormous, almost unreasonably big "mini city under one roof" hotels.
this hotel is a nice quiet retreat off the strip, just far enough, but not too far. it has just what you need, without all the excess. this would be a nice hotel for families too since it has the big accomodating suites and not all the tawdry riff-raff that the casinos and countless nightclubs within a hotel often bring.

all in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to come back and stay again! we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: higher floors will definitely get you the best strip view!
