“Platinum did it again...GREAT stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2011

We had stayed at the Platinum before for a family reunion trip, and was pleased with the good service and great rooms. Thought we'd try it again this time, and although there were many options (including on-strip hotels), I worked with Nathan in making room reservations and he made the booking process so convenient and smooth that we went ahead with staying at the Platinum again. There is something to be said about professional and excellent customer service- Nathan clearly cares about representing the hotel well. Nothing was overlooked in our room reservation process- everything went as smoothly as we had hoped when we checked-in (my pet peeve is when the hotel staff has communication problems and we don't get the room type we expect- thankfully, this was not a problem here!).

Anyways, upon staying at the hotel again, we were not disappointed! Despite being pretty busy, the hotel front staff members were excellent and efficient (it's amazing how so many hotels don't get this correct- given how front desk service can really affect guests' hotel experience). The rooms were very LARGE and clean (everything still seemed new and in great condition, despite it being another year of wear-and-tear with Las Vegas guests). We were traveling with our son, and it is SOOO much better to have the separate bedroom/living room areas so that we could have our privacy. And with the fully functional kitchen- we were able to easily make breakfast in the morning. Also, the view of the strip from our room was fantastic! Lots of usual Las Vegas strip lights, and my son especially loved seeing the monorails go by.

The hotel is obviously run by good management who ensure that the rooms are well-maintained, and the front desk is running smoothly. We had no difficulty with valet parking at all- again, despite it being busy. During check-out, we were able to call down to the valet and put in a request for the bellman and valet. I think this helped with the valet experience being fine for us (I remember staying at one of the on-strip 5-star hotels previously and they didn't allow us to call down beforehand to valet- irritating!). Also, when we first arrived, my sisters had to rush to check in so that they could make it to the Jersey Boys show-- the valet guys were great in making sure that the car was in the front and ready to go when my sisters were- no delay and they made it to show on time. We ate in the downstairs restaurant, and honestly- it was just OK. Next time, we'd probably stay in the room and order room service (which worked well last time- not too expensive and decent food).

In summary, Platinum impressed us again- great rooms, excellent service, no resort fee, location near the strip...we'll be back! We just hope that the rates will remain competitive!

I was concerned about having my 1year old in Vegas because of all the smoke, noise, & limited space (for "play") that comes with a casino stay. The Platinum was perfect! The rooms are spacious, smoke free, & located a block from the strip. My son loved having space to run around, & I was glad to have a kitchen for preparing his meals. The hotel service in general was exceptional. The front desk provided me with a crib as soon as we arrived. Everyone wanted to make our stay "with baby" a comfortable one!
The only con is that valet parking is mandatory, though the valet drivers are very polite, friendly, & helpful. It's close enough to walk to the strip with a stroller.
I will definitely stay at the Platinum again when I return to Vegas!

We just got back from a 3 day trip to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Platinum Hotel, and loved it! The room was great witha full kitchen, great bathroom, including a jacuzzi tub and all the ammenities, and a seperate bedroom. Everything about it was great. The employees were very polite, courteous, and knowledgable. They had free cookies in the lobby every day and a free happy hour on Wednesday nights .It is not on the strip, but certainly within walking distance. The only thing I might suggest is a pool with more shady trees, but other than that, we would recommend highly it to anyone.

Stayed here for a week. The hotel was brilliant. This was my 5th trip to Vegas and I enjoyed this hotel the most. Only a 4/5 min stroll to the strip. The One bed suite we had was huge, nice balcony also. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was nice. Will def stay here on my next trip to Las Vegas. It is a very quiet hotel, which is a plus after a long night out in Vegas!!

Wonderful, modern hotel, 2 block walk to the Las Vegas Strip. Very relaxed atmosphere, good place to come back to after a long night of gambling, clubbing, etc. Pool area was small but very nice and had a great view. Staff was nice and accommodating.

This hotel is amazing value - a suite with full kitchen and balcony. Excellent value for families or couples. The rooms are clean and very quiet. Room service rates are reasonable. The door staff is wonderful and they have free valet parking which keeps moving fast (would prefer self park but oh well). The pool area was okay, nothing to write home about. The shades which people sit under in the pool area were ripped which made it look a bit old. Our only complaint is (and this is not the hotels fault) that it's a long walk in the heat to the strip and there is nowhere close by where you can grab a bite to eat (except 7-11). We had a car and had to drive everywhere and it took forever to go even three blocks due to the traffic. I liked this hotel but I think in future we would stay on the strip so we could walk to more restaurants, bars, shops etc. I prefer to be in the heart of things.

Room Tip: Found a rate 50% lower on Expedia!

Thank you for recognizing our team and the service you received. The awnings are being replaced as we had some sever damage from a recent windstorm. Expect to have them replaced within the next 10 days or so. And Annie and Charley are both outstanding! Looking forward to having you back soon!
