Description: Steaks are the star at Chef David Walzog’s Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award-winning SW Steakhouse. Think A5 Japanese Wagyu, dry-aged tomahawk chops and a chile-rubbed double rib eye, featured on Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate.” Main courses like pan roasted sea scallops with English pea risotto and black truffle sauce are crowd favorites, as is the prime view of the nightly shows on the Lake of Dreams.

Excellent steaks and sides superbly prepared and served at the Wynn. Get a table on the terrace for an amazing view of the Lake of Dreams display. Crab-cake appetizer was one of the best I’ve ever had.

This is one of the very best steak houses in America
However a few waiters can be temperamental and ruin the atmosphere
The food is exceptional
Best fillet steak I have had maybe ever
French fries very good as is the jumbo asparagus
Enjoy

Had extremely high expectations for this restaurant based on reviews. Found the wine to be very very overpriced for what it was. The Caesar salad was overdressed and not the best i ever had. The boneless ribeye was honestly just ok. Mine had some gristle and was ordered medium rare...but, was more medium. My bernaise was average. My friend ordered the kale salad and octopus...the octopus was a tiny portion, but she said it was good. I’m glad we tried this once, ...the view of the waterfall was beautiful and the service was very good. Side note the bartender while we waited for our table was less than helpful on recommending red wine by the glass...for $27 a glass the wine should be fabulous and was really average at best. Probably would not return...too many other Vegas options for a better overall value. Maybe it was an off night?

This elegant restaurant gets a lot of hype but our most recent dinner gave signs of complacency. Service was fantastic, welcoming and friendly. But the food was uneven. The crab pasta appetizer was delicious. The octopus appetizer was OK. A “medium rare” fillet mignon was overdone with a streak of gristle through the middle. The scallops were frankly terrible – cooked properly but the accompanying English pea risotto was gummy and flavorless and it was surrounded by gelatinous black goo that tasted like a soy teriyaki sauce but was called a black truffle sauce. I do not recommend the coconut cream pie. Usually a light and fluffy dessert, the SW Steak version has a heavy gooey coconut filling. Delicious flavors of homemade ice cream are a better choice.

We had a large business group sitting in the main salon.
Decided to go all seafood with a fantastic Grilled Octopus and white bean appetizer and then an incredible Scallop and Risotto main dish.. Finished with a tapioca pudding cause it was listed as 180 calories and then topped it off with a fried dough fritter.. Ha! Excellent service, wine steward pouring without asking.. unobtrusive but always alert and there. Go there!
