“Great staff.”
Reviewed March 8, 2006

We stayed at the new Hooters hotel over the presidents day weekend. There may be a few things left to be done, but the staff took care of us and even upgraded our room for nothing. The only thing I could complain about was the showers water temp kept fluctuating and bathroom was clean but did not sparkle. If you want to see a great show.. we saw the Fab Four show at the V Theatre...those guys have talent and you can tell they appreciate their fans.

As a gambler there rating system is done by hand. It was wrong all the time and did not rate me as it should have. Very disapointed they should stay with the food chain not the casino end. Everyone knew about the mistakes from the valet guys to the bell men who have more experience than the people running the casino.

Stayed here one evening for a guys night out. As such, I wasn't expecting anything more than a change clothes and crash for the night.

Overall, they've just put a fresh coat of paint and nailed on some unfinished wood wherever they can fit it, which resulted in a hotel that kind of had a lumberyard smell to it. The rooms were functional, but not at all glamorous. The Hooters branding in the rooms seems to have been to throw in a couple barstools and add some orange lampshades. Our toilet never seemed to flush right, and the showerhead appeared to have been the original one from the San Remo days: all clogged up and spouting at angles.

As others have mentioned, room noise was apparent to us, and even in a state of exhaustion and drunkeness at 4am, we were kept up by a couple arguing, crying, and tossing things around upstairs.

The gaming downstairs is ok, but after the novelty of hooters girls wears off, isn't anything special. Plus, it's a mostly-male sawdust joint vibe downstairs, which shouldn't be much of a suprise if you're familiar with Hooters.

Food options were limited at 3am, and it seemed the staff in the cafes were always shorthanded or disorganized because long waits were the norm. The signature chicken wings also didn't seem to be what they usually are in the restauraunt, which was disappointing.

Wouldn't recommend for couples or anyone looking for a remotely personal or classy vegas hotel experience.

Got in around 11pm on Friday 3/3, walked right up to the counter and checked in - no wait at all. We had 3 people offer to check us in. Within 2 minutes we had our room key for room 1135 with views of Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur and NYNY - not too shabby.

Room wasn't as orange and bright as the online pictures made it out to be. The bed was unusually high for a hotel and it was soft and comfy. Cute 'beachy' theme throughout. Plenty of room to get ready - 3 full length mirrors and a separate vanity outside of the bathroom. Everything was clean. Shower was high (good for tall husband) and had just the right amount of power.

Negatives in the room were ancient alarm clock, bathroom sink wouldn't hold water and the air conditioner was unusually noisy.

Casino is crowded and extremely loud. Hooter girls seemed to be more covered up than they are in our local restaurant here in NE which I thought was odd. Band in the bar was decent and fun.

Good location right across the street from the monorail.

I would definately stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonable hotel and doesn't mind walking a bit.

I was in Las Vegas for a business trip and we decided to go see the new Hotel. Supposedly they spent 55 mil. renovating the old San Remo but am not sure where that all went. The casino seemed to be very small and you would think that all dealers would be girls, but I would say 40% of the dealers were guys including mine! We waited approx. 1 hour to get into the restaurant which I thought was a little long to eat wings. The dealers were extremely slow and did seem to make lots of mistakes. We did not get a chance to look in the rooms, but the casino and restaurant were a big disappointment and would not recommend.

Many things wrong with this hotel room keys didnt work, furniture missing in rooms (our alarm clock and phone were sitting on the floor in the room), staff were uninformed we asked about hi speed internet access and were told by several staff members it was available at different places in the hotel when it wasnt available at all. At 4am the alarm went off in the hallway for a half hour it skreeched. With all the money spent on TV advertising they must have not had enough left to complete the hotel. I saw this hotel rated 3 or 4 stars at Travelocity and thats a joke.

This place has potential, but it's got a long way to go. First off, for you casino players- the player card readers in the slot machines rarely work. The club orange workers are slow and not attentive. It took us about 25 minutes to get a one hundred dollar pay out on a slot machine. We had casino workers tell us they would be right with us but never did. If I had won the money, that would have been fine. But, this is what I had put into the machine. Although there were drink waitresses, I rarely saw them.
As for the hotel--- the set up is pretty freaky. One bank of elevators broke down three times in the short time I was there. It is very difficult to get in to the check in area from the parking garage. You have to go through a ton of people in a tighter than usual set up. Literally, from the check in counter, you are less than two feet away from about 10 slot machines. We had a very nice two bedroom suite; but one of the sinks did not work. The refrigerator was in the middle of the room still wrapped in plastic. Some of the electrical ports did not work. This was the same with some of the light switches. The noise from the parking garge carries to all the rooms on the side of the garage. So there were car alarms going off all night and drunken guys screaming at 4am that they could not find their keys (a bad situation no matter how you look at it).
We met a few other guests who had bad experiences. I will chalk this one up to the hotel being new and NOT yet having it's groove. But with the way the staff was, it seemed like they had been there for years and many of them seemed disgruntled. Don't bother with room service during peak hours-- the food will be cold by the time you get it.
Still, I would consider giving this place another shot- but I will wait at least a year before I do. If you do stay here and you are near the parking garage- make them switch you. There's nothing worst than waking up to car alarms all night long with a hangover coming on.
