“Casino is great”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

This review is for the casino portion only. We loved Red Rock...almost better than casinos on the strip. It was about a 20 minute drive from our hotel, but well worth it. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but the casino is so nice. Great decor, friendly staff, strong drinks, several good restaurants to choose from. There is a whole family friendly section here, too. Large movie theater and arcade for families with children. A huge plus, their machines definitely pay out. We won most of our money here :)

The casino is bright and open. All the restaurants are wonderful. You can actually get a beverage while gambling. All the employees are friendly and always willing to go above and beyond for anything. It always feels safe and the outdoor surroundings match any hotel-casino on the strip.

So, tonight is my last night at the Red Rock - Possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I am here for a work conference, so it's positioning away from the main strip is great (only 25 mins away on the free shuttle service).
The staff have all gone over and above their roles to ensure that my stay has been perfect. - The view from the front of the hotel over the strip is AMAZING, especially at night. Then in the morning, you get a beautiful sun rise to see. The rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the pool, which is still very pretty, but I prefer the strip view.
This hotel has everything you need and you feel comfortable and welcomed from the second you arrive!
The only minor bad point is that the WiFi is a bit temperamental in the casino, other than that, it's great.

I highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: The view of the strip is AMAZING!!!! 7th floor and up is perfect!

We are frequent visitors to Vegas. We have been going there (from Ohio) since 1994.
We have stayed at many of the casino/resorts over the years, both on and off strip, but keep returning to our favorite, The Red Rock.
The casino is beautiful clean, and not crowded. The selection of machines and tables are as good or better than anywhere in town. The food is awesome - we prefer T-Bones. The hotel is clean and quiet and has a very relaxing vibe. We love the comfortable beds and the inviting bathrooms. During our visit in November, we had a great view of the mountains and spent hours sitting in front of the window.
But what makes the Red Rock our favorite is the staff. Everyone including the valet to the casino staff to the housekeepers to the restaurant personnel and everyone in between are always very friendly and accommodating. In 10 years of visits, we have never run into a rude staff member. They always make us feel very welcome.
If you travel, there is inevitably going to be something, sometime that needs attention. This is not a problem at the Red Rock.
If you want to get off of the strip and relax, this place is the perfect antidote. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the elevators.

With a sold out city (CES), we booked the Red Rock for our group meeting and it was better than most of us had expected.

Only problem it was way too far from the Strip or downtown.

Rooms were nicely done - if this was on the Strip it would be a top tier property - especially with the specialty restaurant offerings, but needed some "deep cleaning" from what looks like normal wear and tear.

Management should also do a little better in making it a more personalized experience - especially since they have to compete for "off Strip" business. No one ever asked how things were, what they could do to make it better - nothing.

I loved this property! We stayed one night recently and the room was very spacious with great amenities. The view from the windows was gorgeous with lights and mountains! This property is quite a ways from the Strip so if you are planning on spending much time there, I would stay there. We took road trips to the mountains (Mt Charleston is close by and gorgeous). Now the cons - when we checked in and i tried to reposition the bed reading light, the bulb was not screwed into the socket and came down with a crash. Then when we went to order room service, the room hotel binder was Missing. I went downstairs and picked up a pizza at the Italian Restaurant (name?) and it was a small pizza with a big price tag. It was Lousy also and I would pass next time and hit one of the fast food restaurants in their Food Court.

My friend and I spent one night at Red rock Casino Hotel.
A room was very nice and clean. We had a breakfast at the buffet and it was delicious and valuable.
The only disadvantage was that you had to have a car to reach the strip. However , everybody does so that is the deal .
