We've stayed at Red Rock twice. The rooms are nicely appointed, clean, quiet. The casino is friendly and not too crowded. The spa is terrific, and the spa pool is a nice (and very peaceful) surprise.
The resort has changed since 3 years ago. We hear they made a conscious effort to NOT market to the younger, wilder crowd (i.e., the 22 year olds), but are going for an older crowd and a more family-oriented crowd. Even though we were not there with children, we liked that. The casino wasn't full of that younger crowd that can sometimes be a little sleazy. They've closed their nightclub and also the topless area of the pool. So if that's what you're looking for, this is not the place for you. The pool is beautiful, and the service is great.

Very Nice, Very clean. Just remember how far it is from "The Strip". Sits right off the Interstate, Best to travel by car, its an expensive cab ride from the airport I am sure. Great free parking. Our weekday rate was incredible while the rooms are very modern/cutting edge fashion with large rooms and bathroom. We where 2 adults and 2 teens and it was a nice break from The Strip. The posh hotel, large Buffet dinning area on one side of the Casino and a complete food court /Movie Theater/Bowling alley/Sports bar on the other. We ate in the Food Court a lot.
It is as much of an entertainment complex as it is a Casino. Nothing was cheep but not horribly over priced. The elevators are on just one side of the hotel. Our room was on the other. Its a long walk. We loved our stay.
Don't forget to drive over to the Red Rock Canyon National Park. Its so close and a wonderful scenic drive.

Room Tip: Be close to the elevators, on the pool side for a fantastic view.

Location: The resort is 15 minutes drive from the strip. There is a shuttle bus that runs infrequently. To go to the strip, you are still better off having a car.

Resort/Room: The resort is huge with lots of amenities: movie theaters, bowling alleys, arcade, pool, etc. The hotel decor is modern and bold, with a lot of red. Many common areas are 2-3 stories tall, gives nice open feeling. The room is decent, nice modern decor. One problem with the elevators. The guest elevators are on one end of the building. Our room is on the other. It's a very long walk every time. There is another elevator in the middle that goes to the pool (a second one is broken). So, one could cut through the pool to get elsewhere. But it's really hot in summer and it's still a very long walk. Tip: request a room close to the guest elevator!

Pool: The main pool is beautiful, with fountain, gradual entrance, lounge chair in shallow water. There are some umbrellas available and some chairs are under the palm tree shade. (Note: many people "reserve" these seats with their stuff and towel. ) The main pool does get crowded. But there are additional pools next to the main one.

Buffet:
Good price especially if you get a players card. $5 off lunch and dinner, $3 off breakfast. There is a good selection: Farmers Market, American, Italian, Barbeque, International (Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Mediterranean), dessert, ice cream bar. Food taste ok, nothing exceptional. We ate there 3 times, got really tired of it.

Service: This is where things fall short. We booked a room with 2 queen beds, paid extra for this room type. At check-in, 2-queens rooms are sold out, and the best that front desk could do is 1 king and 1 rollaway. (We have 2 adults 2 children.) I wasn't in the mood to argue then and since our 6 year old usually prefers sofa cushions layed on the floor anyways, we were ok with it. I asked for extra blankets. Rollaway didn't come. I had to call to request it. Then rollaway came without any blanket. I had to request blankets. Next day, we were out the entire morning and most of the afternoon. Maid didn't come. We spent only 1 hour in the room, then the maid came. She asked us if we need service. We got towels but she didn't make the bed. This place is a 5-star resort?

Overall, the place is a good value and we had a decent stay. But I don't think I'd stay here again. I still prefer the strip. I would trade off the location for an exceptional stay, but this is just ok.

Room Tip: Get a room close to the guest elevator.

My husband and I spent a long weekend here for of a conference and we came down a day early to see some sights. The hotel and resort was beautiful and our room was large, clean and modern. HUGE bathroom!

it would be sad if you missed the gym/spa while you were here; it is really nice and comes with its own private outdoor pool.

I also highly recommend renting a car (which hotel can take care of for you!) to see the Red Rock Canyon which is less than 10 minutes away, it was the highlight of our sight seeing as we are not not really into the casino aspect. We took the complementary shuttle to the strip just to see some of the hotels but were glad to come back to Red Rock. Took in a movie at the theatre.

We generally ate at the food court and the food was good; also went across the street to the Brewhouse and had a wonderful meal there (fish tacos) and shopped at Marshalls just behind this restaurant. There were long lines for the hotel buffet so we skipped them.

Overall, very friendly and personable staff, great resort and would definitely return here. Excellent conference spot.

Room Tip: ask for the canyon view

I went to Vegas for a convention and having been before being on the Strip was not important, If you want a restful family vacation that will not eat your wallet this is the place. The check in was effortless with fantastic service. The rooms are away from the casino area. The pool area is spectacular with plenty of room, shade and sun and super service from the wait staff.
There is a great food court area with lots of healthy selections. A movie theatre and a bowling alley are also on site. The casino area has a bingo area and a nice selection of slots and tables. There are various small seating restaurant venuesand a fantastic inexpensive buffet available. It was a super area for the convention with restful views of both the mountains and the lights of the Strip. A shuttle is available to take you to the strip about a 40 minute trip. An airport shuttle was also available. I thouroughly enjoyed my time there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room above the 10th floor and midway down the hall.easy to get to the pool this way and central to the casino if you cross the pool area.
