“Stayed here on business...awesome hotel!”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

I stayed here for a conference at the end of October. The room was the biggest room I have ever stayed in anywhere. Each room has a massive window overlooking either the strip or the mountains, both of which are great views. The rooms were very clean and the king bed was comfortable. The hotel is located in more of an upscale neighborhood, and there is a running/walking trail right down the road from the hotel that is pretty decent. The breakfast and lunch provided by the hotel for the conference was on point. They even provided a 2:30 snack on each day we were in the conference. The casino part of the hotel was very nice and not as ridiculously crowded as the Strip. They also have a Regal movie theater and a bowling alley in the hotel, not to mention the 9 different restaurants. We went to the Yard House restaurant, which is a great place to watch sports and enjoy the insane selection of beer on tap. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the strip as well as to the airport. They only run on certain times during the day so you have to plan accordingly. You can get everything here you can find on the Strip except for the shows. This is definitely the place to stay in Las Vegas if you aren't in to the crazy atmosphere of the Strip.

Room Tip: Higher floors give you better views, obviously.

I've been to Red Rock twice (2010 and 2012), both for business to attend a conference. I can't wait to go back on my own. This hotel is luxurious from the moment you walk into the lobby until you get to your "OMG-this-room-is-beautiful" hotel room. The service is amazing and the staff is friendly.

I'll start with the room which is decorated beautifully. The color scheme is instantly soothing and because the rooms set off from the hallway, the rooms are very quiet (big plus when you have to get up early for morning general sessions). The bed is one of the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I get a king bed even when I travel alone and this bed made it very difficult to get out off in the morning. Beds have high-thread count sheets and great pillows. The bathroom is a woman's dream especially if you love to take baths. The bathtub deepest tub I've ever seen and it fills up in about a minute. Complimentary toiletries smell great and can be used by either sex. Come to think about it, the entire hotel, no matter where you went had undertones of the same scent. Not too strong to be offensive but just enough to make you relax.

On to The Spa! The first time I came to this hotel, I didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of The spa. The minimum age to enter is 18 (no screaming kids) and the following stuff is free to hotel guests: plush robes, serenity pool with three cabanas and multiple lounge areas, the Jacuzzi, the cold dip pool, sauna, dry steam room with eucalyptus (my co-worker had a cold when we arrived, went in the dry steam room and her congestion vanished!), locker rooms, shower stocked with spa products and toiletry room where you can blow dry your hair and get any other toiletry that you might need before you get back to your room. Did I mention it was free to hotel guests? Seriously, the hotel is worth it just for the spa. We even ordered lunch poolside.

Speaking of food...there are a lot of different restaurants at Red Rock. Since I was there for a conference, I was provided food for most of the days I was there. However, when I was left on my own to eat, Grand Cafe and the Feast Buffet were my choices for this trip. The Feast Buffet has your typical buffet food and it was fresh and plentiful. My favorite was Grand Cafe because breakfast is available 24 hours a day, the portions are large and the prices are reasonable. The staff there is great. During my stay, I looked forward to seeing the bartender, Christian. Great personality and service and fixes good cocktails. If you go, tell him that "Lucy and Ethel" sent you.

The shuttle service to the Strip is nice but I wish the last pick up from the Strip back to the hotel was a little later than 10pm. However, there is a public bus that runs from the Strip to the hotel that runs all night. Taxi's from the Strip will run you $60.

Overall, I can't wait to go back next year. This hotel is definitely one of my favorites. If the old adage is true, "you get what you pay for" then Red Rock is definitely worth the money.

Room Tip: Any room is awesome but request a higher floor with canyon side views. Absolutely spectacular view.

We always try to stay at Red Rock when in Vegas. So many reasons my husband and I love it. Its away from the overly busy strip for one. Red Rock canyon is a beautiful backdrop to the casino and hotel and fun to explore if you're the outdoors type. It is beautifully decorated throughout with the most comfortable and attractive rooms. I like to stay in the room and relax sometimes at Red Rock. I never do that at other casinos. Pool and restaurants are great, with any type of cuisine you could want. Love the slots, Bingo and Poker room, too. My friend raves about the Race and Sports Book. They have some good entertainment as well, with some big names from time to time. We usually don't leave from check in to check out when we stay here. They've got it all!

Room Tip: Mountain view is exquisite!

Great location right off the freeway, away from the congestion of the strip. Spend some time at the pool getting some sun. If you like to have a bit of nature while you are in Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is about 5 miles to the West and has great hiking and rock climbing (novice level). Great place to stay, incredible staff, good food and service, niece large rooms, comfortable beds and big bathrooms. The race and sports book is the best, great place to bet your favorite track, or your favorite team with a very friendly and helpful staff, you can't go wrong there during football season with $1 beers and $1 hotdogs during games, great food at all the restaurants (ate at LBS and had a great burger, and the Italian is fantastic, along with the steakhouse). Overall if you looking for a place that off the strip, easy access on or off the freeway, but still has the same look and feel of one of the major hotel on the strip you can't go wrong with this place.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, good food and service, niece large rooms, comfortable beds and big bathrooms. Got 2 night free with my Border Station card, which is a must if you like to stay or playing at any Border Station Casino's. The race and sports book is the best, great place to bet your favorite track, or your favorite team with a very friendly and helpful staff, you can't go wrong there during football season with $1 beers and $1 hotdogs during games, Great food in the Grand Cafe, had steak and eggs for 5.99 with a very friend waiter who took care of us. Great location right off the freeway, away from the congestion of the strip. Spend some time at the pool getting some sun, it was a Thursday so it was pretty slow, but the lounge chairs where comfortable, towels where niece and friendly waitresses. Overall if you looking for a place that off the strip, easy access on or off the freeway, but still has the same look and feel of one of the major hotel on the strip you can't go wrong with this place.

The Red Rock has nice large comfortable rooms decorated in a nice modern "chic" style. If you don't like to walk be sure to ask for a room with a low number near the elevator - it was a LONG walk from the elevator to our room (153). I must agree with other reviews that the hotel is not very convenient if you want to go to the strip or downtown. Good for a "get away" . Also, the refrig in the room can not be used for your personal stash.... It is only set up for the "mini bar" service.

Room Tip: As stated in the review - it can be a LONG walk to your room. If that is an issue, be sure to reque...
