Neighborhood: Downtown
Description: Aloha Specialties, located on the California Hotel & Casino's mezzanine, will satisfy your taste buds with its Island fare. With the umbrellas and wicker chairs lining the mezzanine outside the restaurant, Aloha Specialties transports its diners, at least for a short moment, to the islands. Step inside and its walls are lined with native art and the tables and chairs are covered with the "aloha" prints that you'd see in Hawaii. Aloha Specialties features teriyaki plates, stews and curry specialties, combination plates and noodle dishes such as Chicken Tou Saimin and of course, the popular "rice bowls". Eating in or taking out, give yourself a treat and try Aloha Specialties.

Whenever I get the craving for a great saimin, Aloha Specialties is the place to go. Coming from Hawaii, this place is like home away from home.

The food here was excellent and delicious. Especially if you have lived in Hawaii! Authentic Plate Lunch Fare. Great Teri chicken and macaroni salad. Big portions served just right at a great price.

Tremendous aloha here. Local Hawaiian food. Lots of spirit here from the owners. Across from this is an ice cream shop you should go, too.

“great value, tasty food island style...”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We visit here on every Vegas trip. I love the food. The portions are huge, the selection is very good for a small cafe. and the prices are very reasonable. (Huge chicken-teri bowl $3). Staff was as always friendly and efficient. Located inside Cal Hotel in downtown on Mezz level. Note; cash only, no reward card tie-in, counter order then brought to the table, free ice water station. I've visit ed Hawaii a few times and in my opinion, and judging by the many "islander' patrons this is the 'real deal' for Hawaiian food in Vegas.
