“Huge Rooms, Great for Families,Lot`s to Keep You Busy”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

South Point is south on The Strip, around a 10 minute drive from most of the other hotels. However, you may not want to leave. This place has 11 restaurants, a bowling alley, and a Cinemark Theater. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and comfortable. I was there for a trade show, but I would visit again with my family. Vegas was never a great place for kids no matter what was said a few years ago. However, this is a place the whole family can go to and feel comfortable. The pool wasn`t open yet when I was there, but it looks like a fun place to hang out. Ate at the Silverado Steakhouse and the meal was great. I took some customers there and everyone enjoyed themselves. I would recommend this hotel to families and anyone looking for a great value in a hotel and amenities.

we LOVED this hotel, everything you could posibly want is here and then some. The beds were amazing, comfy and CLEAN! the flat screens and down pillows were unreal. The transportation to and from the Hotel was fast easy. the FOOD ... The BURGER we had the first night was the BEST by far I have had in a long time and it wasnt just because we flew 8 hours, it was serious quality beef and fresh. Also, My luck at the cosino wasnt too shabby, I won 1,200 on the Slots and another 500 on the Black Jack. So if you are looking for clean, comfort, great service and everything in one spot at a great price, THIS IS IT! i have stayed in many of Las Vegas BEST and this is one of them but far less money. =)

Room Tip: Down pillows, comforters and high thread count linens, flat screen TV amazing menus, service five st...

I've stayed here with my family on 3 separate occasions now, and we really enjoy this property. It's on south Las Vegas Blvd, about 3.5 miles south of the Strip, but very easy access. Many reviewers comment on the lack of resort fees, but as of March 1st, they now charge a resort fee (around $14 per room per night with tax) which includes WiFi, valet parking, the fitness center, and a few other things. Not too bad, but still annoying to add this to the list of resort fee properties.

This is a big Vegas resort (2000+ rooms, so not the biggest, but still a big, beautiful property.) It is well maintained and modern. The pool is not quite as big as many of the pools at comparably sized resorts, but still a big, nice area. The casino, not surprisingly, is the heartbeat of the place. You can't get anywhere without going through or near it. They have a large arena and equestrian facilities, so the hotel features a fair amount of equestrian themed art, but this place is far from rustic. We love the fact that it is near the airport, but not too close, and near the strip, but not on it, and therefore MUCH less crowded.

They have a large movie theater and large bowling alley in the hotel, along with a dozen or so restaurants running the gamut from a deli to buffet to fancier fare. Rooms are large and spacious (the size you expect from the large Vegas resorts) and well equipped. The beds are okay, but nothing to write home about. Bathrooms are big and comfortable, but not the giant marble edifices you get at some of the Strip resorts.

Summary: Not perfect, but generally great price points, and most of the benefits of the Strip resorts without the crowds or expense.

Room Tip: Rooms below the 8th floor on the front side of the hotel have no view (back of a building) but are q...

We stayed here for the first time this last weekend. It's a very nice hotel with great, affordable restaurants within. The room was huge for just booking the cheapest king bed room. There was a table and two chairs and also a little couch. The bathroom was very nice. Lots of room and everything was clean. The only downfall is that it's not on the "Strip" so sometimes we felt almost bored with no where to just simply walk to. For that reason we would rent a car next time we stay. There is a shuttle from the hotel that costs $8 per person to go to the Strip and back and it's good for the whole day. We used that a couple of different times. We are already planning on staying here again for our next trip to Vegas!

We picked this hotel and casino on a whim as a stop off on our way home from California. We thought it would be fun to stop at a hotel that had a casino and this had great reviews. We had a terrible experience. When we arrived no one came to our car for valet services. I had to go find someone. Once I did find someone he was put out to do his job and my car sat in the parking lot. At check in the line was slow - a new girl and a guy who was more concerned about going home. When a new lady came to take over she was not friendly or personable at all - however efficent. The hotel now charges a $16 a day resort fee. The resort fee covers a "fun" book with absolutely no good coupons at all. We went to use the ATM machines and they were down. Both of us traveling with different banks tried to used them and we kept getting errors. We tried 3 different ATMs and got the same error. We watch 3 other people try to use the machine and they all got the same error. We brought it up to the front desk - they said try the cash office. We went to the cash office they said try the ATM on the side which was a cash advance machine and charged a much higher fee. Everyone acted like we poor and had no money to spend. Why would we pick a casino hotel in Vegas if we didn't have any money to spend? We went back to the front desk were we were told there was nothing they could do about it, it was the cashier cage department. We asked to speak to a supervisor we were told they were the supervisor. Again, we were treated rudely, they could care less about our issues and for some reason did not want to help us get money to blow in thier Casino. I have NEVER written a bad review for a hotel. I've worked in the hospitality industry in the past and can understand how so many things are beyond the front desks control. That being said - this hotel's staff did not respond to our concerns, lacked any sense of urgency, showed no sign of remorse or level of customer commitment and refused to do anything to make the situation better with a simple apology for the inconvenience - but instead called us liars. If you don't care about customer service - then I would highly recommend you stay at this propertiy. However, if you encounter any sort of issue - be prepared for dispectful employees that are unresponsive and escalate the issue.

We just spent 2 days at this friendly hotel. From check in to check out everything was great. We also loves the casino where it seemed a little friendlier than the other strip hotels. Very relaxing without all the crowds of the rest of the strip. We both agreed this is our new favorite Las Vegas getaway. Loved the movie theater and the deli, both excellent.

Room Tip: Get the players club card, lots of benefits.
