This is THE ONLY real Russian restaurant in las vegas. I was born and raised in Russia, and I think that the food is great, it tastes like real homemade cooking. No alcohol yet, but it still worth it. Real russian radio is playing, its really nice, feels like home... I would suggest this place for anybody to enjoy some good food. By the way, great place for a big party, it has a stage , and the place is big.

This restaurant is worth seeking out. It is off the strip (bonus) and the appetizers are really good. A Russian friend tells me that Tverskaya is the name of a street that leads into Red Square, so I'm guessing the owners/chef are from the Moscow area. We had the Blinchiki (think blintzes stuffed with mushrooms), Pelmeni (won ton-like), Vereniki (terrific potato stuffed dumplings, and the Golubsty (stuffed cabbage) - all really good. We liked the appetizers better than our entrees, though my wife's Viennese Schnitzel was really good. The Napolean cake was also really tasty and a perfect ending to the meal. We will be back...this is a great neighborhood restaurant.

Our family of four were delighted to discover this excellent restaurant, tucked away in the back corner of a very small mall just a short drive from the Strip.
We were most pleased with everything we ordered!
We had:
Borsch Red beets, cabbage, potatoes, meat and a dollop of sour cream garnished with dill (served hot, although listed as cold) 6.95
Blinchiki Crêpes stuffed with choice of ground beef, or mushrooms 7.95
Vareniki Homemade dumplings stuffed with choice of cottage cheese or with
mashed potatoes & onion served with sour cream 7.95
Tverskaya Shrimp Marinated, then grilled shrimp served with a delicious spicy olive oil sauce and mashed potatoes 8.95
Beef Stroganoff Beef tenderloin strips sauteed in onion sauce, mushrooms and sour cream - served with fresh mush potatoes or 3 cheese fry potatoes with garlic or buckweat 16.95
Hungarian Goulash Pork loin slowly cooked with vegetables and Hungarian spices - served with potatoes and braised cabbage 14.95
We also ordered a house made fruit drink and a non-alcoholic beer; both were very good!
The restaurant does not serve alcohol, but they will provide glasses, and there is a liquor store just steps away from the restaurant where you can buy wine or beer to have with your meal.
The Brosch was especially good, the best I've had, and quite hearty!
My only suggestion for the food would be to have the shrimp peeled, as the most tasty sauce is also most messy! Luckily, there are big napkins!
We were also delighted to get to know our waitress, who is from Kasan, Russia and is married to a Las Vegas man.
The atmosphere is subdued, and we were happy to be in a 3/4 round booth, so we had a cozy space to ourselves.
On our way out, we talked with two other of the small number of patrons, who happened to be representatives of the Russian American Foundation, located in New York. They were fun to talk to and offered a good stamp of approval to the restaurant!

This restaurant was located in a strip mall off of Paradise. We chose it because we were meeting a Russian friend and wanted to try some Russian food. The ambience and location leave a lot to be desired, but the food is plentiful, tasty, and cheap. It was even cheaper with our coupon from restaurant.com. I would recommend if you want to try something different, and/or if you are on a budget, looking for good European home cooking.

Yes, it is hard to find - it is kind of secluded in a strip mall with no glowing neon signs; however, it is worth the short Taxi ride (about $30 round trip from the strip). Walking would be about 2 miles from the Rio (which wouldn't be bad at all).

The food was simply awesome - a culinary delight! My wife and I love to try international food and this was our first Russian experience. I highly suggest the Borsch and Golubtsy!

They hope to have alcohol in the next 6 months, but in the meantime, it is BYOB. The service was a bit slow, but the staff was very pleasant. They seemed surprised to see tourists since the restaurant seems to cater more to locals.
