I stay in hotels for work all year - I have become quite the hotel snob if you will :-) I was looking up hotels under the Marriott banner and come across the Grand Chateau. First - you can use your points to stay here (BonVoy points). Second - there is NO RESORT FEE Third - there is FREE valet parking (just make sure to tip the valets). The rooms are excellent. You get a large room, small kitchen area with full coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, table and chairs. There is a safe in the room. The bathroom of far larger then other hotels There are 2 pools on the property. One on the rooftop and one of the 5th floor (massive jumbo tv which is a great feature). Both are very nice. Not crowded at all (which was awesome!). The hotel also has an activity department. They hold activities at the pool and elsewhere on the property. A big thanks for that. They do a great job. The location is actually ideal. Just off the strip. It is in between the MGM and Planet Hollywood. You are steps away from the Miracle Mile Shops. McDonalds is 4 min walk from the main entrance. You are also right across from the Aria and Cosmopolitan hotels. Make sure you stop and say hello to Alex at the front check in counter.
