“Just off the Strip and very comfortable”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

We own the New Years week at this hotel and thought we'd try our week. We were not disappointed in the Marriott quality. The hotel manages to look chic without being cheesy or fit in too much with the atmostphere of "Sin City". The hotel accomodated the New Years Eve crowd very well, handing out bracelets in the morning, with party hats and noise makers. IN the evening there was a magician and a DJ in the lobby, open bars on the rooftop and in the lobby with service until 2am (special hours for the holiday). I was impressed with the way the hotel offered its guests an alternative entertainment, especially good for families with kids who needed to stay off the alcohol laden Strip. The rooftop was available to quests to watch the fireworks at Midnight, but we found the view from our 18th floor Strip side room, just as good to see two of the hotels displays and closer to our bed afterwards. We were able to purchase champagne at the bar and take it to our room.
This hotel is placed very well in the middle of the Strip, so guests can easily reach the entertainments of the area, shop and dine, but be away from the hustle and bustle at night. Our room was very comfortable. We ate breakfast and lunch in our room and the kitchen had all the supplies necessary, and a dishwasher too. There were plenty of pillows and a double headed shower! fun! it's a good Marriott experience.

Room Tip: you definitely want a Strip side room

This was a perfect hotel for a family of five. We stayed in one of their two bedroom condos which were really spacious and well equipped with laundry and kitchen facilities. We had a great view of Vegas lights and the airport.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Downstairs they had a little market shop which was great for buying a simple breakfast of muffins and yoghurt etc.
The hotel is situated just off the strip near to planet hollywood and is easy to walk from to anywhere.
There is no casino so it is quieter and smokefree (yay).

We stayed in this hotel in November, 2013, and found it very nice, and in a good location. We were with another couple, and shared a kitchen and living room, which was great since Vegas is so expensive. This enabled us to splurge on dinners and shows. Most of the people were extremely helpful (except for one). This small hotel is in an excellent location, just off the middle of the strip. We couldn't have chosen a better location. However, if you're not interested in a time share, avoid the presentation, as they get extremely pushy. We only went because our friends went. We also found that the one hour presentation became almost two, and they kept passing us along to increasingly pushy people.

The pool is on the rooftop, and when we went up, we were almost blown away. It was also quite cold with the wind, so we did not use the pool. We did use the gym a couple of times. Not outstanding, but adequate. There was no on-site restaurant.

The bed was extremely comfortable, but the pillows were terrible. We asked for different pillows, and they were equally bad. We had about a dozen pillows in our room, and none of them were much good.

The air in the unit was very stuffy and dry. I don't know if that's normal for Vegas, but it was sometimes uncomfortable. There was no way to air out the rooms.

As commented by others, there is ongoing construction at this hotel, which is not always pleasant. They warn you when you arrive, but I'm not sure our friends, who made the booking, were warned at the time of booking.

There was no maid service all week. Some clean towels mid-week would have been nice. I'm sure if we called down, we could get them, but should we have to ask for clean towels when you're staying for a week?

We would stay here again, but would probably try to get a deal somewhere right on the strip first, with more amenities. Although, the kitchen is a big plus.

Stayed in Marriott's Grand Chateau, 3 bedroom villa for the 7 of us.

The service rendered was impeccable during our stay. Right from the Valet parking staff ( All cars are Valet driven), to the reception and a very beautiful Villa we stayed. With a reasonable price, this is the place to stay if you are looking for a 3 bedroom suite.

It is located about 100m from the main boulevard, and our villa is at the 26th floor, so we got a great views of Las Vegas.

The newly open Starbuck is right inside Marriot building.

No breakfast is provided, in fact, Marriot does not provide any breakfast, but not a problem when it is in Las Vegas. The competition among hotels are so great that it is good for the consumers. We had breakfast in Aria for ++US$25/pax for 1 day, and for the next day, my jaw dropped when we discovered another buffet at US$7.00/pax, Unbelievable!

Overall stay in Marriot is good, value for money, and great service with beautiful rooms.

My family and I stayed at this property over Christmas week pursuant to a timeshare exchange through Interval International. The property is located on Harmon Street across from the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood and it is an easy walk to all the restaurants at that venue in addition to all the shows at the V Theater like "Hitzville," "The Mentalist," etc. The Strip is half a city block away, intersecting Harmon. We had a one bedroom villa on the 12th floor. We had a great view of the MGM Grand; McCarran Airport; the desert mountains in the distance; and the construction of the future 5th floor pool area.. We knew in advance that there would be ongoing construction during our stay and we were told that again upon check-in. However, I think we should have been told that we were in a villa DIRECTLY below construction, i.e. just a few feet above our heads. We were awakened at 4:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve and around 6:30 on other mornings. (Thankfully, there was no construction on Christmas Day.) The property is lovely; the valet service is complimentary - a BIG plus; the convenience of the washers and dryers in the villa can't be beat; and the new lobby bar looks very nice. However, The Marketplace is very overpriced; there is no true on-site restaurant, (just a Starbuck's coffee stand); the pool area is very small, as noted by others; and there is no maid service, not even a mid-week "tidy" - a huge negative. Also, there is poor air circulation in the villas making the rooms smell after a few days, despite keeping the kitchen clean and the trash emptied. Finally, the Skybar on the roof was closed, even though it was not that cold. To be fair, though, when we asked for new towels and additional blankets and pillows, we got them right away and the completion of construction in July 2014 will introduce the new, larger pool and a pool-side bar and grill. We would love to see if these additions improve the property.

It's always difficult to tell just how far the Harmon properties are from the Strip so that you can gauge distance. I'm here to tell you that this property is in a phenomenal location. It is located right off of the strip and directly across the street from the miracle mile shops of Planet Hollywood. I'm not normally a nitpicker when I travel because I'm there to have fun, not critique every little thing.

In order to give an accurate portrayal, however, I will give the positives and negatives. We had an efficiency unit booked through interval. We were given a low floor, mountain view, although we requested a high floor, city view. It was Christmas week, however, and we were exchangers. Understanding this, we didn't have any problem with the room location.

Positives: hotel location, rooftop patio, quick maintenance response, security check, fast elevators, free shuttle to Walmart and Outlet mall, free wifi, free printing, outdoor heaters, owners' reception.

Negatives: shower was cold but corrected, inadequate kitchen supplies (no pitcher, only two forks, very small bowls), rooftop patio closes at 11 PM (this is Vegas), viewing area on rooftop is also designated smoking area, and air conditioner vent in room is in kitchen area, making it difficult to prepare food.

With the exception of quick maintenance response, none of the negatives would prevent me from staying again.

I have stayed at many Marriott properties and this one didn't necessarily have the Marriott feel in terms of comfort (room was nice and clean, but not overwhelmingly distinguishable) and amenities (small pool, no balconies) but it was still a good stay.

Note, there is construction in the area and the pool bar is closed for the winter.

I would absolutely choose this location again.

Room Tip: Choose a High floor, city view.

I loved this hotel because I had very specific expectations and needs. I wanted to be comfortable and be able to fix meals and sleep in a comfortable bed with my fellow guests. This is perfect if you want to stay with a few people, visit with them, and see Las Vegas. However, if you need concierge support, constant access to your vehicle, casinos downstairs in the lobby, or a hotel restaurant, this is not a good fit for you. It's a hotel that acts like a timeshare.

Room Tip: Walls can be thin, so ask for a floor that's less full.
