“Great Location---Great Hotel!!!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

We were very pleased with the Grand Chateau after our first stay there. We have stayed at many other LV properties on the strip, and while some properties were as nice, none of the others offered a full kitchen.

We rented a one-bedroom suite and were surprised at how roomy and clean it was. Actually huge in comparison to most hotel rooms. Two large LG HD TVs that were connected to satellite TV, so lots of HD channels, including several HBO & Showtime channels. The bed wasn't overly large, but it was very comfy. Huge steeping tub with a separate shower that had two shower heads. Two bathroom sinks, one adjacent to the make-up area next to the tub--NICE! The kitchen was well equipped and had a big coffee pot--YAY! However, bring your own coffee if you like dark roast, as the small complimentary bag of coffee (1 pot) was bitter and not too tasty. You can get milk and other goodies at the mini-mart downstairs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and didn't pester us about attending the Vacation Club sales pitch. That was a relief. The added security was appreciated since we were there during the Boston Marathon bombing.

The location was perfect for us. There are lots of restaurants & stores right across the street at the Planet Hollywood, but many of the restaurants don't open for breakfast until 8:00 am. The Cosmo, Aria, Paris and Bellagio are only a short walk away, providing even a greater variety of places to eat and shop.

The complimentary valet parking was quick and painless, but I really prefer to park my own car. OTOH, the garage looked to be a challenge (nightmare?), which may be the reason one can't park their own car. Not a big deal.

The pool area on the roof was closed due to high winds for the entire time we were there, which was a disappointment but understandable. It was also pretty cool.

We weren't bothered by any construction noise, but that may change as the third tower goes up. Right now they are still working on the foundation for the tower--over 20 floors below our room. We could easily see the ongoing construction, but only heard a couple of bangs mid-day.

One note of advice: Be sure to reserve the room you want (city view, etc.) as we were told that rooms cannot be changed or upgraded once you arrive, as the Vacation Club properties operate under different rules than regular Marriott hotels and don't allow room changes unless there's a major problem with a room that can't be fixed. Not a big deal, but something to consider, especially as construction continues.

It was so nice to not have to pay a "resort fee", and as long as we aren't bothered by construction noises, we will very likely stay at this property again. We highly recommend it for folks who would prefer a luxury condo hotel experience without the typical Vegas casino scene.

Room Tip: Get a city view room. The mountain view rooms face the construction site.

We recently stayed here as a group of five friends in a two bedroom apartment. It was the perfect location for seeing everything in Vegas; a two minute walk to the strip with Planet Hollywood / Miracle Mile across the road from the hotel.

The view from the roof pool / bar is amazing, especially at night.

The rooms are large and comfortable, in particular for five guests. We always had our own space and never felt cramped.

My only disappointment was the construction work. We were fully aware the works were taking place prior to arrival, but we heard it every morning from 5am onwards. Although, this wouldn't prevent me from staying again.

We had a great time here and I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for the location! We'll be sure to stay here again on our next trip to Vegas.

When ever I head to Vegas, this is the only place I stay. It's nice because it doesn't have the busy bottom floor of a casino to walk through. You can find any place to gamble when ever you want, as it's got a nice location on the strip. Located behind the Polo Towers, and next to the Planet Hollywood Casino, the Grand Chateau has some of the best rooms I've ever stayed in, anywhere. It's all clean and very spacious.

The staff was eager to help at all times, and the bar area on the roof brings a nice view of the portion of the strip.

If you're looking for a big pool, you'll have to find it elsewhere, which honestly is not hard to do in Vegas. There's a market on the bottom floor which is a little pricey, but there's a CVS right around the corner.

I always look forward to my next stay here.

Went on our first trip to Vegas last week. We were glad we picked a hotel with no casino. AFter all the lights and sounds all night it was nice to get back to a quiet hotel. Even though there was construction on the property we hardly heard any noise at night. Close enough to the strip to walk anywhere, which we did, a lot. Nice to have the room to spread out and relax. Pool definitely needs upgrade though as when you go to Vegas you think big pool. Hopefully the new construction will take care of that.

Room Tip: We are Marriott time share owners so we received a nice room with a view of the strip. As for a corn...

This hotel/timeshare is located behind the MGM and Polo towers. It is clean and has a small market. It has very nice rooms with kitchen and washer/dryer in unit. Currently they are in the process of adding a wing. There is some construction noise but we did not hear much of it as we were in the front of the building. We had 2711/12 and you can see City center and Planet Hollywood from the window. We had plenty of towels and kitchen equipments. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is more enhanced security than in the past. A guard is by elevators every day after 4 PM and after 6 you have to put your key in the elevator to get to your floor. Walgreens and ABC stores are close by for groceries. There a shuttle to and from the fashion mall after noon. Taxis to or from airport runs close to $20.

Room Tip: construction in the rear of the building so there is more noise in the back.

What a spectacular spot, in the middle of the strip, yet far enough away to escape the casino noise and hassle. We chose this spot to share with our family and celebrate 21 year old birthdays. It was perfect. Having a suite or two to spread out and relax an d yet be able to walk to shows, casinos and all the action. The on,h down side is the pool, too small for the facility; hopefully this will be improved wight the construction, but then doubling the size of the facile may stress the lobby and valet staff. Nevertheless still a perfect spot.

This is my second visit to the Grand Chateau since my last visit and observed some changes. If you are traveling with a group of people, the Grand Chateau can bring value to the experience. I appreciated the advance notice about the construction that was taking place at the property which allow me to have the choice to considering another property but did not have an issue while onsite for 5 days. The villa was clean and spacious. If you are looking for that platinum treatment, you wont get it here. As a platinum reward member, I understand that this is a vacation ownership property and the amities/services that you would normally experience with a full service hotel are not present. The staff was friendly and helpful.
