A weather related lay over in Las Vegas caused us to choose a hotel. We were so happy when we opened the door to one of the rooms at the Marriott Grand Chateau and found a clean, comfortable room. The bed was comfortable, no outside noises or hallway noises. We would definitely come back again when in Vegas.

Our family of 4, Mom,Dad, and 2 college age daughters, stayed here at the Marriott Grand Chateau for 3 nights, as a stop off on the way to Maui Hawaii, from the East Coast. We used Marriott Rewards for the stay. We had a 1 bedroom unit, 1 bath ,which turned out to be fine for the short amount of time there. I was most worried about the sofa bed for 2 grown girls, but even they said that it was fine for 3 nights. The full size kitchen was stocked with anything one would need. We ate breakfast in the condo. The kitchen looked as if it had never been used! The bathroom was spacious , with plenty of towels. HUGE bathtub in the bedroom and an extra sink/vanity also in the bedroom. This was great perk to have with 3 women in the condo! Only negative was the glass door to the shower and the water leaking out onto the floor somehow. The seal was not tight and after every shower there was water on the floor. I told the front desk upon check out. The small oblong ordinary pool is on the rooftop, along with a pool bar. We thought that it was rather funny about the pool. You have to take the elevator to the 37th floor, get out and walk around the corner and get on a different elevator ( or take the stairs) to the 38th floor. This was rather bizarre...like someone forgot to build the pool, or put it in as an afterthought. OOPS! And a rather boring pool at that. But little kids would have fun anyway. The pool bar was non-descript . Didnt spend much time up there as the weather was rather chilly. KInd of a shame that there was not any other bar in the complex. The little market had everything you could want or need, although pricey, as expected. But there is a Walgreens close by where we got our groceries. The location of Marriott Grand Chateau is perfect. We walked everywhere. Just 1 block off the strip, we could walk north or south, to restaurants and shops. Walking is the way to visit Las Vegas. The Marriott also has a free shuttle that goes back and forth to the Fashion Mall, up by the Wynn and Venetian. That is pretty long walk without sneakers or comfortable walking shoes. We took the shuttle the one night that we went to see a show, then walked across the street to The Wynn. Our driver of the shuttle was just as nice as he could be. Security was good and we liked that everyone had to show their card key to get to the elevators. The front desk staff were happy and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this Marriott to anyone.

Visited in December for one week and really enjoyed my stay. Traded my home unit for the unit at the Marriott Chateau and I was not disappointed. Great location, a little more than a block from the strip. Staff were friendly and ready to assist when asked. The unit was beautiful but not as clean as I would have expected. Found hair everywhere from a previous guest, so I could not rate the location a five. The amenities were great and having the washer/dryer was a great asset. There is no on-site restaurant or casino, but the location made it possible to walk to obtain whatever was needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: They are doing construction, so ask for a unit far from the construction.

This was a trade for the 1 bedroom unit. This was our 5th trip here. We visit Vegas often. This trip was 12/21-12/28

We did know construction was happening on site, it was happening last year too.

The units are perfect for us. So enjoy the washer/dryer in the unit. Our Coffee maker was broken, called down and 10 minutes later a new one was delivered. so very Marriott.

I enjoy the shuttle to the Grocery store and Fashion Mall, that is nice not all Timeshares offer that.

After 5 days, we began to hear construction noise beginning at 7:30. It sounded like it was in the unit above us. I understand progress. Next time might ask to be in a Unit far away from the noise if possible.

The location of The Grand Chateau is just off the strip.
Recommend this place if you are visiting Las Vegas.

Convenient facility, with kitchen and laundry in the unit.. Off the strip, so it's a bit more quiet and and less crowded. No gambling on site.

For Marriott fans, and vacation club owners, it's convenient to have a facility in Las Vegas. They are building an additional tower

The on-site shop is open 24/7. Garage on site too.

Nice to have one, two, or three bedroom units. Beware that some folks may do bachelor/bachelorette parties, and make it tough on the neighbors. On site management is pretty responsive though.

Our family of seven (5 adults and 2 pre-teens) stayed in two separate 1 bedroom villas (each with a king bed and sofabed) for three nights over Christmas 2012. We found our rooms above the 30th floor to be very spacious and extremely comfortable. In addition to a large twin-headed shower, there was a large tub in the master bedroom. The sofabeds were probably the most comfortable we've used (no springs but instead rather supportive foam mattresses) especially if you prefer a firm bed. The rooms were quiet and we slept very comfortably.

There is a full kitchen and a front load washer/dryer. Internet is free through ATT wifi service (password available from front desk on check-in). They also offer resort activities which we did not explore (many had additional charges).

The location is about half a block from the strip (very near Planet Hollywood and the Cosmopolitan) and easily walkable. Just across Harmon St there is an entrance to the Miracle Mile shopping center that also winds to the Planet Hollywood casino and the strip. There's no casino in the hotel so it might not be the best location for those who like some late night gaming in their hotel, but also there's no smoke and annoying bling either.

All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including the valet staff. Only valet parking is available but there is no charge (apart from whatever tip is customary for you).

We received a great rate (about a third less less than the rate for much smaller "basic" level rooms at the Cosmopolitan for the same dates). We did receive a call from the timeshare marketing staff before we arrived, offering some tips on activities that were helpful but then devolving into the offer for free stuff if we chose to attend a 90 minute Marriott timeshare sales pitch that she was happy to schedule. (We politely declined and found this only a minimal annoyance, but be aware to expect something like this.)
