Owner description: Acclaimed by MAGIC Magazine as the premiere comedy magician in the world today. How did a kid from Louisville, Kentucky find himself in the enviable position of being perhaps the funniest magician in America?Hailed by many as the premiere comedy magician in the world today, Mac King was just named "Magician of the Year" by the Magic Castle in Hollywood, just broke a Guinness World Record, just appeared on his seventh TV special for NBC-TV, just rocked on the Late Show with David Letterman, and has been regarded as one of the top 5 shows over the past Ten Years.

Long live Mac King!!!! This guy has it right. He is funny, great magician, and family conscious. For me, thats all I need. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good price afternoon show.

The staff was very nice. The bartenders informative. We didn't expect much since these were free tickets but we were nicely surprised. We enjoyed it so much we brought our grandchildren back a couple months later.

I paid $22 for a general admission ticket and was seated in the fifth row center stage. I enjoyed the show. There were a few 'adult'jokes that would go right over kid's heads. Overall it was a great show for any age.

This isn't a high-tech show, just a guy and a few props. But what he does with those props is amazing. You aren't going to see anything that hasn't been done before, but you see it up-close and you still can't figure out how it's done. Rope tricks. Yeah, right, how many centuries have rope tricks been around? But maybe that's the point. Everyone else is trying to do something different and techy, and Mac comes out and blows us away with the simplicity and fun of rope tricks.

He also gives you a real feeling that the audience participants he brings up on stage are giving him different angles that could cause him some trouble. It doesn't feel scripted; it feels like he didn't expect the woman to stand on top of the cards instead of stash them someplace he could get to.

OK, there were a few times where I'm thinking, OK, let's get on with this, but that feeling didn't last long, and, to tell the truth, I had more of that at the David Copperfield show. In a way, Mac Davis is the antidote for the excessive slickness of David Copperfield.

It was a great way to end our Las Vegas trip.

Oh, right, the ticket deal. Sign up for Harrah's Total Rewards card (free) and you get a ticket good for two, for just $30. Technically the tickets are free and the $30 is a cover charge for two drinks (which we didn't have). We paid an extra $5 each for "VIP" seating, which probably isn't needed most afternoons... fairly small audience at the show we attended.

We went to this show based on all the positive TA reviews and it lived up to the reviews. We visited with our teens and everyone agreed it was a great show. Mac King is a very personable, likeable guy who also happens to be a great magician and comedian. He adapts his act very well to his audience and incorporates what he learns about his audience into his act. He also seems like a class act as he donates some of the proceeds of his merchandise to a cancer org. It is nice to find a show that is appropriate for everyone, a great performance, and reasonably priced. A very enjoyable afternoon!
