Peaceful, beautiful, serene.
It is far from the Strip and a bit out in the country, but the view was worth it.
As soon as we parked, we saw some beautiful peacocks and geese wandering the grounds, on the lake and so many peacock in the trees and bushes.
The park is one of the cleanest parks I've seen and has a lot of space for parking.
There is a running trail which is very clean and straight forward.
Recommend taking a picnic lunch and drinks. There are many picnic tables. You can also fish.
Cost to get in is about $7.00.

Only 20 minutes North of downtown, this park can be a pleasant break from gambling, the strip and traffic. It features picnic areas, a lake/pond complete with waterfowl and peacocks, and scenic walking/running trails. It is also the site of the Kalama Brothers 5K Aloha Run and other events.

Wonderful place to picnic and bring the family. Only one problem, the fishermen....lots of them don't know what they are doing and their lines are left all over the place and damage and multitate the birds. Also try and feed them proper food, NOT white bread.

The place is terrific but the duck poop is everywhere - my gosh! Our shoes were covered! We were focused on where we were walking the whole time so we missed half of the scenery, and our dogs' feet - yuck. It's a nice park, but I would NOT go there again. Yick! $6 to get in.

Great place for a quiet walk without driving very far. We take our dog out there often for a walk around the lakes and enjoy the nice quiet clean atmosphere. Great place for a picnic also. The entrance fee for seniors (55 and over) is the best value in town. The history of this place is very interesting. Enjoy this little gem in the city.
