Review of Hotel Galaxy

I booked this hotel for just several hours stay to catch the flight at 4am. When we checked in, we were given a room key and a remote control for the TV (?). The room is in bad condition. The AC and the refrigerator were loud, the microwave missing turning plate. The bathroom was not so clean. At 2:39am, we were waked up by a woman's scream: Don't touch me! Then the sound of the car door close and driving away. We called 911 to report it and leave right away. It might not be the hotel's fault but the area is not safe.

The safety and comfort of our guests is one of our number one priorities, and we want to assure you we'll be looking into what might have happened. It's surprising because we have security on guard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in order to ensure our guests' safety. We hope you had a wonderful flight, and we wish you all the best.

Sincerely,
Your Team at Hotel Galaxy

So heres the deal, the hotel price is low however save the trouble and book a really nice hotel weeks in advance so you can avoid a place like this one.

Customer service was great and Sara was very kind however the room itself needs a lot of work.

It literally needs maintance work, everything from a paint job to new linens. The linens in our bed were ripped. They look reallt old and god knows how often they are washed, I had to cover the bed and bring in my own cover I had in my car.

The location is nice because it is very close to the strip but I am sure you can find better deals at better hotels.

This place was purchased not too long ago according to staff. The owner needs to really invest a lot to bring this hotel to guests standards in the mean time STAY AWAY.

My wife's friend is in the US and we decided to make a trip to Vegas, Everything in the US is expensive for her because of the 35/1 exchange rate so I decided to treat her and I mistakenly shopped for the cheaper places to stay. Galaxy hotel came up and looked nice so I booked for 4 nights.

It does look nice from the outside but once inside is where the shortcomings are revealed. My dresser drawers are busted, no glass revolving plate in the microwave, now hangers, toilet runs all night and the air conditioning is louder than a freight train.

I was expecting breakfast as that's what they advertised on orbitz but come to find out it's only on weekends and that added $90 to my budget, NOT HAPPY. I was also expecting maid service but come to find out there is none on Friday/saturdays. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday roll around and still no maid service!!!! I had to go to the front 2x to get soap and towels, Now T HAPPY, come to find out I have to ask for maid service, never heard of that before, they should have told me the 1st time I made a soap run because I asked "isn't there maid service"

The good - a/c is cold, has a refrigerator and its in an ok neighborhood, flare screen tv and wifi is strong.

My recommendation is to stay clear of the sleazy hotel unless is absolutely all you can afford. We were VERY disappointed and I will dispute a portion of the charge for the breakfast compensation, totally false advertising/description!!!!! AND NOT HAPPY!!!

I don't recommend this hotel unless you just want a cheap place to sleep but the beds are uncomfortable. Our sink leaked and we had to turn our used towels in to get clean ones. No restaurant, and breakfast is at least a 5 block walk away. The walk to the strip is long and difficult to reach. That's really the city's fault, not the hotel's.

It was very cheap but clean. The staff was very nice. The room doesn't have a lot of frills but it was good location. I would stay here again. It did have quite a few channels on the tv so there was always something to watch.

They tried to charge me again, despite booking and paying through Travelocity. Door wouldn't stay closed, had to use the deadbolt to make it stay shut. There was a puddle of water on the floor from something. There was construction going on and I picked up a nail in my tire. The shower never got hot. Don't waste your money on this place, book somewhere more reputable. I'll never stay here again.
