Nice place to relax. Both peaceful and quite. Location is West of and away from the "strip". Plenty of shops, restaurants, and easy access to freeway (215). They could use some fun things to do on the property like having a wine and light Hors D'oeuvre reception by the pool evening of checkin. Also staff should be able to make reservations for you at the front desk if you do want to have dinner out or see a show. Staff was very responsive when something did not work in the room. Bed was small and too soft. Weather was great which was one of the things we were looking forward too.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us at The Cliffs at Peace Canyon Resort. We have very few activities here since most people spend their day on The Strip. Currently the resort is offering complimentary facials on property and they also provide special shuttle trips to the Outlets and to the Downtown area as well as The Strip. The resort does not have a concierge on property, but are able to provide excursion information at the Hospitality Desk. Thank you again for posting and we hope to have you visit us again soon.

Nice place. Carpet needs shampooing, but otherwise very clean. Furniture is dated, but clean. Nice pool. Nice location, away from the strip (20 minutes), but near lots of shopping, restaurants, and the 215 beltway which makes it easy to get places. Checkin was easy, but of course, they want to treat you to lunch if you'll listen to their spield about the timeshares. We declined, of course, as we do at all the places we stay. Lots of good golf courses in the area. Although several nearby bars have video poker machines, full service casinos are only 5-7 minutes away, including, Sun Coast and Red Rocks. Having the full-size washer/dryer was nice. Not a lot of kids at this resort. Pool was almost all adults all the time. They could use a restaurant/bar onsite. That would be nice. Internet in the condo is $50/week, or use their business center for free, but the computers are really slow. You can take your laptop to their business center and use it though for free.

Very nice 1 bedroom suite with a Full Kitchen with Full Size appliances. We got a good rate through Expedia for 4 nights.

Pros: Close to Red Rock Canyon, close to Red Rock Casino, very nice room and furnishings.

Cons: About a 25 minute drive, parking spot to parking spot, to the Strip. But if you
have had your fill of the Strip from previous trips ( I have ), this is a good place to
stay. I like Red Rock Casino more than any Strip Property.

They had some free internet computers in the lobby, but no free WI-FI for the rooms. They did have a printer you could use, so that was nice.

This was our fist trip to Las Vegas and we were glad to be away from the strip. The Cliffs were clean and quiet with good service. We enjoyed the pool area very much. There were many affordable resturant options nearby as well as many shopping options were available which made my wife very happy. We would go back the Cliffs again. We did some great day trips to the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, and the Pahrump winery.

First the positives. This is a quiet resort away from the crowds and noise of the strip. It has a great shuttle service that will take you to and from the strip by simply making a reservation a short time in advance of when you wish to go there. The shuttle will also take you to a nearby grocery store where you can buy whatever supplies you wish if you decide to cook or barbecue while you stay. (We used the shuttle to get us to the resort in the first place because we had decided not to rent a car while in Vegas and so all we had to do was take a taxi to the Mirage from the airport and catch their shuttle from there).

The rooms are spacious and clean, the kitchens are well stocked with whatever you may need if you wish to save money and fix your own meals. The pool is not spectacular, but is certainly adequate and includes a separate spa. The furnishing around the pool are very good. They also have a very nice exercise room, pool table and barbecues available for their guests use.

Areas that I think need improvement are housekeeping. As stated above the room was very clean and I have no concerns there, however, our first night there the room next to us was cleaned and all the trash, dirty towels etc. were left lying on the ground next to our entry way. We called the front desk to alert them to this and they said they would have someone come and pick them up. Well that never happened, so this all sat outside our door over night until late the next morning. The resort also has an area near the pool where they encourage guest to recycle, glass, paper, plastic, etc. which I applaud. The only problem is that no one seems to have the responsibility of emptying the bins regularly, so on two occasions these bins were overflowing onto the sidewalk around the area including broken glass on at least one occasion.

Secondly, the resort has a practice at check in of sending you to someone who pushes very hard to have you sign up for a "complimentary breakfast" which of course leads you into a sales pitch. The lady who pushed us into this assured us of no hard sale and no more than an hour of your time. Neither is true. The sales pitch took us an hour and half and that was only because we insisted on leaving at that point. Once the first salesperson is done with you they will send you to another "manager to sign off on your paperwork and then will send you to one more to get their final offer. Perhaps they have a different definition of hard sale than I do, but it sure fit my description. My advice is to just say no, although if you do you can be assured that they will not quit asking. If you do say no long enough they will probably raise their initial offer of what you will receive for subjugating yourself to the sales pitch. If you are in the market for the vacation time they are trying to sale to you, then do not pay the initial asking price which was $11,000 +, but was suddenly $3000 + when we had said no and were heading for the door.

Finally, this resort has no free wireless. When free wireless is offered to patrons of Motel Six and other cheap hotels and motels and when it can be had at most customer friendly businesses, I can find no excuse for a place advertising itself as a top end resort to charge $10.00 a day for this service. No one wants to sit in your computer room to use the internet and then get booted off every fifteen minutes because of the time limits you have imposed on computer use there.

Overall, I would go here again, but I would also look at other options first and seriously consider my choices before taking this one.

Thank you for taking the time to post the details of your experience at The Cliffs at Peace Canyon. We are pleased that you appreciated the proximity of the resort and your accommodations. We have passed your feedback regarding housekeeping issues to the resorts General Manager. Recycling is very important to us and we certainly want to encourage more of it and not have people deterred if the bins are full. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize that you felt pressured during the sales presentation and hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future.
