We have stayed twice at the Wynn and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vegas. Great location across from the Fashion Mall and although up the end of the strip it's nice to get away from the night time crowds. Dining is spectacular, next time we have to try the buffet looks amazing and no doubt worth the wait.

This was a nice Hotel. Of course it's Vegas so, bang for your buck, there is better. The restaurants were very good, a little pricey for what you get but, good food. I'd say, give the Aria a try. Much more impressive. Its all big business..

Best Hotel on the Strip. After walking the rest, we were very happy to arrive back each day to safe, strong rooms, good decor, a safe, an expensive mini bar, with quiet air conditioning, floor to ceiling windows, lots of oulets, good bath products.
The lovely big rooms in the Resort area as just as nice as The Tower suites. Buffet Breakfast included will tied you over till dinner. Great staff, good gift shop, wonderful location for Fashion Mall. 2 for 1 ticket booth, taxis etc. Just hope they have No Smoking everywhere soon.

Room Tip: Breakfast Buffet Super. 20 dollars each includes coffee and real OJ. Best on the strip. Freshly cook...

The Wynn and the Encore are lovely hotels (they are attached, basically 2 towers on the same property), but I won't stay again. Here are the pros and cons, as well as a couple of warnings.

Pro: The suites are beautiful. The beds are wonderful. The bathrooms are lovely. If you're looking for a nice hotel to stay at on the strip, this one is. But there are a lot of hotels on the strip that are closer to action than this one that are also nice.

Con: It's far away from everything. When we go again we'll go to one of the hotels that are connected by train or in the middle of the strip. It's just so far to do anything.

Con: Be ready to hand them $150 PER NIGHT DEPOSIT UPFRONT when you check in. While our "Special Offer" got us a lovely room for about $140 a night, they failed to tell me I'd have to come up with an additional $600 before I checked in.

And this isn't like they just take a card and don't charge it - they charge the $150 PER NIGHT upfront, then reimburse you when you check out (which, if you've put this on a card, can take several days). They'll tell you that "All the casino/hotels do it" but that's not true.

Before you go to Vegas, Google it and you can find out which hotels charge deposits upfront and how much they require. Room deposits are NOT posted on travel sites, so you have to call and do your own research before choosing. It REALLY put a damper on our vacation. I'd paid for the room nights in full when I made my reservation 2 months earlier. I didn't expect this kind of bill to be waiting for me when I got there.

Con: They didn't allow food or drink up to the room unless you bought it at that hotel. ??? So technically, bringing leftovers from dinner or midnight snackage is out, although I didn't see the guard stationed by the elevator actually searching anyone. It was awkward. Hubby has specific food needs, so we always come with healthy snackage, leftovers, our own stuff. Not allowed, per the sign in front of the elevators.

Con: No coffee pots in the room. I think a lot of the hotels are going that way, but just be prepared. I bought a small one that I now take along when I travel.

"Special Offer" tip: We got an offer in October for a good rate and 2 tickets to La Reve - the water show at the casino. We booked for the Christmas holiday. But since it was the holiday, they said the show wasn't available during our stay. We found out later that the show WAS actually going on, mind you, just not for the "promotional" guests. While they did give us a credit to eat in one of their really expensive restaurants, I really wanted to see a show and was very disappointed. Kinda felt baited-and-switched.

So in summary, the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very nice, it's too far from all the action and you have to really know what questions to ask before you go or you could have some nasty surprises waiting for you. But if you just want a lovely hotel to stay in, this is definitely an option.

This is one of the best Hotels to stay in Vegas. Its is beautiful, service is great, rooms are spacious, with a nice view of Vegas, specially in the higher floors. It is full of little corners to relax with a drink. The branch is excellent and not crowed. Spa and pool have excellent service of drinks by the pool. Everything was great about this stay. Beautiful, clean, good service, and very relax atmosphere.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors and south side. Great view and quiet.

There is so much to say about the Wynn. We started off in the Tower Suites the first night but were unable to book the whole week there. Check in at the tower was swift and included a cool towel and water (love the little things). The room was spectacular. Tower room had some upgrades in terms of furniture, lighting, art, mini bar, newspaper and bathroom amenities. It also had a private pool. Regular room was the same size many would not even notice the changes since the view and furniture placement is the same. Robes in both rooms but there were slippers in the tower. Hotel gym was recently redone and it was really great. The carpet kept it quiet and the lighting was soft for a very relaxing work out. Plenty of machines for everyone but there was only one area with a mat for stretching there could be another one. Used the Spa for a mani/pedi and it was a calm relaxed area as well. Staff there was lovely and they were on point with all guests. I heard a lady say she "never had her hair like this" she was next to me checking in and I did not recognize her WOW! Lots of restaurants to choose from and the shopping was good. Pool area was kept tidy and the staff really hustles out there. Small area that could use some improvement....the coffee shop. The service flow was not good. Someone who looked like a manager was doodling around when there was a line. It may be more effective to have one taking orders and one making orders during peak coffee AM shifts (went everyday the same thing happened). The resort was clean, friendly, and the details were kept up (I saw both paint and tile repair done during my stay). Wish the resort fee included internet or a better rate seems a bit much to get whacked for both. My AT&T phone reception was bad here? I would highly recommend a stay here!!! I hope to be back soon!
