Excellent rooms. Professional and timely room service.

SW Steak House has been on the two occasions I've eaten there the best of the best in Las Vegas.

You do receive the value you're paying for.

In fact I liked the pillow so much I purchase four for our home.

Room Tip: Choose the Wynn over the Encore every time. I don't think there is a bad room in the Hotel. I...

Although the hotel is very extravagant and upscale, it is certainly not worth the price. We stayed here for six nights during a conference/plus three days on our own. The Pros: The rooms are very nice, the bed and linens are to die for. The food is very good and you get plenty. The decor is very elegant and upscale, everything is very clean. The Cons: The water pressure in the shower is poor. The towels in the bathrooms are very rough and coarse, we honestly thought at first they had given us numerous floor mats, but no, they were the bath towels. Although the food is very good, and you get plenty, the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. The average price of breakfast for four of us (at the cheapest cafe on the property) was $101. This was for an average breakfast of french toast or eggs and bacon, nothing fancy. The staff customer service was extremely inadequate. Very impersonal, uncaring and felt like they could care less if we were there or not. The drink staff took forever to bring you a drink while gambling, and again, very cold and unfriendly. We got locked out of our room for an hour because the lock "glitched" which they explained happens on a fairly often basis. Although they apologized, it still took an hour to get us back into our room, and offered nothing to make up for this. Next time in Vegas, even for a convention, I will choose to stay at a different hotel, such as TI, that appreciates their customers and provides a great atmosphere and service. For the money spent, it was definately a disappointment.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view. We were on floor 30 and had a wonderful view of the stri...

We arrived at las vegas mid afternoon after out 10 hour flight from the Uk, unfortunately we were met by the usual chaos at Immigration. the Americans really do need to get their act together, as it could put you off going to the US (we experienced even worse in orlando) An hour later we met our car and were taken to 20 minute transfer to the Wynn. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to see check in was clear and after avery smooth and short check in process we were shown to our panaramic view room facing the strip. Having previously stayed at the bellagio, its fait to say the view from our room wasn't a patch on the bellagios, but the room itself was huge, as was the bathroom and this more than made up for it.

during our 6 day stay, we did so much, its hard to cover everything, but here are the highlights:

David copperfield show - excellent show, not a great perfromer, but did "big" illusions with us 10 feet away, has a very creepy smile and eyes!

Dinners - ate at Tao - asian - very trendy and loud environment, excellent asian fayre at a reasonable price.

paris restaurant - best food, lovely view over the fountains at bellagio, bit of a smarmy waiter that irritated a little. On the pricey side, had good meals elsewhere for fraction of the price, probably wouldnt go back.

Casual dining at Yolo at PH (mexican), Grinmaldi at palazzo (pizza) and Canalottos at venetian (italian) all of these were execellent and very reasonably priced.

Buffets - tried Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Wynn, all free having joined their red card gambling incentive scheme. My wife and I both joined and had 4 buffets each for free. we had the lunch buffet just before leaving to come home, wouldnt bother otherwise as most disappointing of all of them. Breajkfast and dinner very good and excellent value, even if you pay!

Swimming pool - 1st day we decided to go to the pool around 2.30pm, however there were few beds available in the sun, as most were reserved for cabana's (pay anything between $200 and $500 a day for a cabana depending on the day of the week). by 4pm, the pool was almost entirely shaded by the encore and Palazzo buildings. Every other day we went to the pool at 9am and left at lunchtime,.no problem with sunbeds or the sun early on.

Having been to vegas before, we gave a number of the tourist attractions a miss this time, so can't comment on many of the shows or attractions.

We did however take a hot air balloon ride over Vegas. Due to air traffic restrictions, they are not allowed to fly close to the strip, but we could see it clearly. despite having got up at 5am and having our first attempt cancelled as it was too windy, we perservered and the next day we took off around 7.15AM (after another 5am start). apparently the winds were in an unusual direction, and we headed towards the north end of the strip, this was a dense housing area of Las Vegas and landing became an issue, with no space large enough for our 10 storey high balloon. we eventually landed without authority in a working quarry, closely followed by the local constabulary and a local reporter, a few words from the crew and everyone was cool with it. excellent trip and well worth a go.

All in all Vegas is Vegas, you get exactly what you expect. Big, Bold, Brassy and such fun. The Wynn is an excellent hotel, top notch service, excllent casino and nice pools, but not necessarily the best location, as its at the far end of the "main" strip and quite a walk to anywhere. personally when we go again, would probably go for Bellagio, Mandarin oriental, Cosmopolitan or Aria as they are in the middle of the main action.

Room Tip: facing the strip are best, or splash out of the Wynn tower suites!

If Class and Taste are at the top of your list - Stay at The Wynn. The rooms are excellent. The Casinos are stunning and the Pool is gorgeous. The Staff couldn't be nicer or more professional.
And it offers the best Buffett in America. Incredible.

We stayed here for a few days over Easter. The hotel is like most of the other high end places on the strip - we had stayed at the Bellagio a few years back. We got an upgrade to a suite upon check in. Room was nice, quiet and overlooking the golf course. Selection of restaurants in the hotel is good, service was a bit 'hit and miss' at times, especially around the swimming pool. Some of the bars also seemed a little understaffed at times. Casino is good - but the signage is poor throughout the hotel. I understand that they are trying to keep you in the casino, but trying to find other parts of the hotel was tricky.

I loved the Wynn. The Spa, beauty shops & newsagents were wonderful. The rooms had the best views in Las Vegas. I nearly killed my husband when the bill for the most expensive restaurant in the resort arrived but other restaurants were great and not so tears inducing. I would love to come back as Sephora and the shops across the street are so close.

This is a great place to waste away your time and money. It's much cleaner and relaxed than anywhere else. Tables games can be expensive though.
