“Best Breakfast”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

This is out of the hustle of Las Vegas and just what we needed. We had special dietary needs and the menu met those. We enjoyed breakfast sitting outside. It was a little difficult to find walking from our hotel. An employee walked us over. Great, attentive service and great food!

“Delightful find”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

I was in charge of restaurant selection for our group of six. I was a bit nervous about my choice of the Veranda as our "nice" meal venue for the weekend. From the moment we were seated in the simple yet elegant dining room, we were graced with an attentive and well-trained staff. Our young waiter, who was a recent graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and a current student in hospitality management at UNLV, easily handled all of our special dietary requests and be needs. When one member of our party wanted to know about eliminating tomatoes from his dish, the waiter returned to the table a few minutes after the orders were complete to make sure that it wasn't because of a food allergy as there were some tomatoes cooked into the dish itself. Very smart. The food was excellent and the portions ample. The desserts were creative and beautifully presented. The manager came over near the end of the meal to make sure everything had been to our liking. Even the assistants were unusually courteous and helpful. Exceeded our expectations in every regard

“Quiet and unpredictable”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

The scallops here were divine. A must have for an appetizer. I was less impressed with the daily special appy which, while good, was incredibly salty. For mains I had pasta with mushrooms. Maybe I'm not educated enough in pasta but it seemed pretty incredibly average and a little on the bland side. Frankly, given the reviews, I expected better. I had a lemon cream donut to finish. How's that for predictable? The filling was very tasty but the donut was a bit on the greasy side. I don't think I'll repeat it.

Service was prompt, and attentive. Nothing to complain about there. The food was better than average, but not worth raving about. I'll try again some time for the famous brunch. Unlikely to return for supper except for the scallops.

We very much appreciate your feedback regarding your visit to Verandah. Although you were not overly excited by the food itself (with the exception of the scallops), we are happy to learn you experienced excellent service from our staff. We hope you will indeed return to experience our weekend breakfast buffet as you indicated. We think you will find it enjoyable.
