“Great Dinner - Old Vegas Feel”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

We had dinner prior to seeing a show. Allowed 2 hours, took a little over 1 hour (so had a little time to gamble). We sat in a two-person clamshell type table (thus the Old Vegas feel). Our waiter was attentive, but not bothersome. Our dinners were delicious and were plenty of food. No room at all for desert.
The dress code is listed as casual. We wore polo shirts and jeans. Upon arrival I felt that we were a little underdressed. (The atmosphere seemed more formal than that.), but then we saw folks in shorts and flip-flops, so I felt some better.
My partner and I both started with the wedge salad, which was a beautiful as it was delicious. I had the Canal Street Trio which consisted of a small filet, two scallops and two shrimp, served with a really good mushroom risotto. He had the ossa bucho which I tasted and it was fall-off-the-bone tender and delectable.
So if you should find yourself near the Orleans in Vegas, you won't go wrong with a dinner at the Canal Street Steak & Seafood.

“Fancy dining in a non-fancy casino”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

The Orleans is not for posers. So you would not expect to find a five-star steakhouse/restaurant in a relaxed hotel/casino like the Orleans.... But this is one top notch restaurant! We have eaten here almost every time we have stayed at the Orleans over the years, and even have come here to eat when staying elsewhere in town. Very classy wait staff. Large, comfortable booths. Not crowded nor noisy; usually surprisingly few patrons. The meals are prepared to perfection and served properly. Makes you want to keep looking around to see if a celebrity chef has stuck their branding on the place... 'cause it is that good and that well operated. Prices are not cheap, but still less than what you would find in a poser eatery. A wonderful choice for that special, romantic dinner; or to impress clients (when you have to pick up the tab).

“Great Dinner”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

Started off with Lobster Bisque followed by a Caesar Salad prepared tableside (like the fine restaurants used to do). Had the Prime Rib which was excellent and the Colorado Lamb which was some of the best I have ever had. Cocktails were made perfectly. Too full for dessert.

“Very Classy”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

We decided to splurge a little and have a really nice meal during our Vegas stay. This was the perfect place! We were a party of five, and everyone had something different, and everyone loved their meal. Our waiter was a pro, serving five different cocktails and five different meals without any hesitation about who got which one. And save room for dessert--they are beautiful!
I was concerned that there might be a dress code, but not to worry. Even in our warm-day-in-Vegas attire, we were treated like royalty.

“Best Value for Service and food”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

Old Vegas quality, décor and service from the moment you enter the room. You know that everything is style and comfort. The portions are large, the salad delicious, the sides fantastic and reservations are suggested.
