Description: Walking past an enormous statue of Lenin, guests enter Red Square’s distinctly Russian atmosphere of intrigue and opulence. Rich, red velvet banquettes; soaring tapestries; a grand crystal chandelier and other relics of Imperial Russia are juxtaposed with distressed brick walls and faded images of Soviet propaganda. Patrons can don authentic Russian army jackets and fur coats in the subzero vodka vault or mingle over 200 of the world’s finest vodkas at the frozen ice bar.

We choose to have cocktails and appetizers here. Although the appetizers are small in portion, everything was prepared very well with great flavors. Very cool vibe and atmosphere.

Very slow service with very few customers 9-10 pm weekend. We went there only for dessert and a nightcap. Large selection of vodkas.

I hate having to give a bad review to a restaurant that has lovely service and a good atmosphere, but now that Red Square in Mandalay Bay has changed their setup, I am forced to do so.

There are two major problems with the new setup. First, the price point is much too high. We ordered two shots of mid range Polish vodka, a crab cake appetizer, and a caviar sampler. The caviar was a trio of domestic caviars, with the basic trimmings; between the three types, we received less than half of an ounce of caviar. These items together cost $150.00 plus tip. In comparison, when we went to Red Square before, we could get two shot of Russian platinum premium vodka and a half ounce of good quality black caviar with all of the trimmings for $35.00 Sticker shock much? Second, the new menu is standard American. It may be well prepared, but there is no reason to choose Red Square over any other restaurant in Vegas. It is boring. In contrast, the old menu was distinctive. The caviar came with blinis as well as toast points and the other trimmings. You could order a delightful perogis in consommé and several other Russian dishes in small sizes or as full meals. Red Square used to be a distinctive destination in its own right, but no longer. I will miss it.

My friends and I used to love going to Red Square. In fact, we would make it a point to visit on every trip to Vegas (several times a year). Unfortunately, now that the restaurant has been bought out, we have no reason to return.

Wow, vibrant bar scene, excellent drinks, in a setting that can't be beat. Red Square served drinks on a bar of ice. Nestled in Mandalay Bay, check out RedSquare next time you are in Las Vegas.

We were disappointed to learn that the Siberian Nachos have been removed from the new menu, but we enjoyed the calamari with great Bloody Marys at the ice bar.
