Good eats for sure. Spendy though.
I always feel like I'm in a movie when I step into this restaurant. Great service! The spinning salad and the roll out carving station are fabulous.
We were introduced to our waitress, "Mrs Pahlmayer" or something similar. She was maybe 30 years old and had the personality of a stump. We found the atmoshpere a little creepy. It was retro but not in a nice appealing way. The restaurant was full but it was eerily quiet and had no life if you will.
The prime rib was sliced off the roast for us and then mashed potatoes were slopped on the plate followed by gravy. It was very cafeteria feeling. The "Diamond Jim Brady" cut was one of the larger cuts of prime rib, but it actually wasn't that big. The flavor was good, but nothing I will lie in bed and dream about. It didn't blow the doors off, considering prime rib is all they basically do. It was hard to get a drink during dinner.
We left feeling somewhat let down. I was expecting much more. I would pick a major name steakhouse over Lawry's.
great prime rib. awesome service.
