Reserved a table online and walked right in when we got there around 8 pm. The food was very very good but a little pricy. The chef's tasting menu was $98 but was a full four-course meal and definitely worth it. Drinks were a tad expensive as well but expected to be. Service was great and the views were awesome. You can certainly expect the experience you are paying for.

We had a lovely dinner at Stratosphere. I must say that I was more than a little concerned about the experience to follow when we first arrived at the Stratosphere. It is an old building in the old section of Vegas and, in no way, has the modern appeal of the newer hotels and casinos. However, once upstairs, on the 106th floor, the views were awesome. I chose a $100.00 dining option which offered options in appetizer, entree and dessert. Everything was fresh, plentiful, delicious and served hot and courteously. I enjoyed lobster bisque, a filet mignon and chocolate mousse for dessert. My husband had a delicious veal chop which he thoroughly enjoyed.
An EXPENSIVE dinner but a true Vegas experience. We were seated at a window where the views in the rotating restaurant were awesome. We even witnessed a "jumper" from the adventure tours on the floors above us.
If dinner prices are too much for your budget, perhaps, a drink on the 107 lounge above would be a good option?

The food at Top of the World was surprisingly good for a theme restaurant, if you will. I recommend the tasting menu because collectively (3 courses and dessert) it is filling (unless you like gigantic portions like some Americans). Anyway, the primary reason we enjoyed our dinner was due to the professionalism, likability and efficiency of our waiter Joey. He was, in a word, EXCELLENT!! Wish him all the best. Thank you, Joey!

We went to the Top of the World restaurant for a meal after a Wedding. It was a party of 7, before we even went up we were informed it would be $100 per person. After being seated we were constantly badgered to have more drinks, bottles of wine. We were positioned near to the entrance / exit where mobility chairs and wheel chairs were stored, this caused an issue as there wasn't enough room to pass and some of the guest were knocked in their seats or needed to move to make more room. Our bride and groom wanted to finish their special day off with a most memorable meal unfortunately the restaurant should revolve however due to a mechanical problem the restaurant didn't move. No apologies were made or explanations for the inconvenience yet the waiter who handed over the bill informed us he had added 18% service charge, to me a service charge should be given for good service which non of us felt we had. There is no vegetarian option but they did say pick something and we will see if we can make it vegetarian ( pasta dishes ). My husband and I had the steak however were both disappointed due to fat and gristle on the steak not what you expect for a high class restaurant. After finishing eating instead of being allowed to relax with a drink not wine as they wanted us to drink we felt pressured to leave so all I can say is what a disappointment!!!

Dear Mumboss90,

I would like to apologize for the rotation of the restaurant failing on the night you dined. I have been here a year and a half and this is the only time it has been stopped for more than a moment or two. I would also like to apologize for the wheelchair access inconveniencing you. If you would like to discuss this further please contact me at joe.Spellman@stratospherehotel.com

Sincerely,

Joe Spellman

Went to the Stratosphere to celebrate my friend's birthday and my birthday, and the view is stunning. We went for 6 pm in May, and we were there long enough to watch the sun set and the city lights to come on. You can see the new strip and the old strip, as well as the mountains. Stunning view!
The food and service are incredible! Best steak I've had in a long time! Melted in my mouth. One of the best glasses of red wine as well! Our waiter answered all our questions and even brought my friend her dessert with a candle. (don't think he realized it was my birthday as well.)
Be ware there are at least 4 or 5 different rides as part of this tower, one of them being a controlled jump off it. You see the wires as you rotate in the tower (1 hour is 1 revolution of the restaurant), but you don't realize what they're until you see a body whipping by. It was hard for my friend to watch as she was going backwards around so had to watch at least two jumpers go by. I only saw the seat and legs of another ride at the top of our window.
