The Burlesque Hall of Fame Museum is a must-visit for me whenever I attend its annual fundraising event in June. As a costumer, I'm especially interested in their rotating exhibits of rare and beautiful vintage stagewear. Worn and donated by some of the very same legendary burlesque stars we're so lucky to meet in-person at the Weekender each year, it's great seeing these treasures - and many others - properly cared-for and displayed! During my most recent visit I also thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the Roy Kemp "Body of Work" exhibit - a deep dive into some incredible imagery, detailing how mid-century burlesque intersected with the analogue photographic processes used to document and promote it. Absolutely fascinating!

A history lover's paradise! One visit to this place includes both a guided tour and a self guided adventure through the history of burlesque. You can see vintage g strings, learn about modesty laws and discover how burlesque continues to shape culture today. This place is not to be missed!

I was over for The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend, so visiting the museum was an absolute must! I received a really knowledgable tour of the museum from staff, who were also able to answer all of my questions. It was amazing to see so much of burlesque history in one room, including Jayne Mansfield's pink sofa and Tempest Storm's costumes. If you get a chance to go, it is worth every penny.
