Treated rudely by the supervisor assigned to us. She told us if we weren't serious about buying a timeshare to "not come back and waste their time". She insinuated we were only there for the "FREE" gifts. There was nothing FREE about it!!! We paid $50.00 up front, before we even got on the bus to the resort, after returning to our hotel we gave up a total of 4 FOUR HOURS of our time! If that's "Free" I need to get out the dictionary and look up the meaning again, or else I've been lied to for 55 years!

We stayed at Grandview for a week (including superbowl weekend) in a 2-unit suite. Loved having separate accomodations for companion traveling with us instead of 2 bedrooms within one unit. This set-up is common in most timesharing properties we've stayed at within the last few years (mostly in FL). Everything anyone could need is provided, including fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, blender, and full-sized appliances. The applicances and countertops are dated (not granite) but everything was clean and the table/chairs and other furnishings were more updated. A washer-dryer made it easy for us to have clean towels each day since housekeeping did not come by until the 4th day of our stay. Double sink vanity in the bathroom and large shower; plenty of room. The bedding was okay....pillows were flat and the duvet cover had to be removed since the comforter was balled up inside and the fabric on the cover was so slippery, it wouldn't stay on the bed. We were in the Sage building (bldg #1) which is closest to the building that houses the registration desk and recreation room (video games, pool tables---all for a fee). There is no parking area for this building. Parking is available in spaces on either side of the street that runs along side the building. We were able to find parking each time we returned, but can't imagine being here during a busy season....far from ample spaces available for the number of units in this complex. Appreciated that security staff are posted at the front of the building during evening hours since the street location precludes any type of gate. Also, need room key to open the door to the building. Although the site is located 5 miles from the strip, it is a short drive and there is always ample parking at each of the hotels/casinos on the strip. Being away from the hustle and bustle was well worth the short drive. The weather was too cold to enjoy the pools but the grounds are lovely. It seemed that there were no other guests on the floor where we stayed and we appreciated the quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The only negatives: upon arrival, found large black ring of mold around shower drain - we cleaned with bleach; two large balls of dust on the bedroom carpet (possibly blown out of the overhead duct); dried out cleaning rags were left by the bathroom sink; and it appeared that someone may have napped on the bed prior to our arrival. we concluded that the cleaning person took a nap and left without finishing his/her work.

We walked over to South Point several times but did not care for the dining options there. Likewise, the casino was somewhat sterile in that it is brightly lit and the layout of the place is odd. Half of the floor is virtually vacant in that the slot machines are spaced apart and arranged oddly. You have to walk halfway through the place before you actually reach the main part of the casino where table games and most patrons are playing. Also, don't like seeing children in casinos and we saw many at this location. Since archery and equestrian events were taking place, there were many young people and small children passing through the casino and eating in the restaurants. Felt almost like we were at a Disney attraction. Would not recommend this place for dining or gambling. There are many better options within short driving distance.
Overall, we had a nice stay and would recommend to others.

The words quiet and Las Vegas are definitely not synonymous from my experience in my many visits to Las Vegas. However, the Grandview was a very pleasant exception. Sleeping with the windows open was something we did all night and well into our lazy mornings with no problem. It was to be a leisurely visit to spend time with my sister, a lomg time resident of the city, and reconnect with my 26 year old son who asked if he could come along. We had a great time. Our only complaint, guys was the extreme discomfort of the pullout couch for my son. At age 26, his body does not require much to get a good nights sleep , but that couch definitely was an exception. Please guys, in your next furniture purchases consider replacing those archaic and cheap pieces with something that would help turn our next visit into a full five star visit at your resort

We just spent a week at the Grandview in a one bedroom suite in the Daisey Bldg. Overall the unit is well laid out and there is plenty of room for 2 but would be crowded with 4. A couple of issues became obvious during the time we were there. The bedroom is located on the same wall as the adjoining Unit and there is very little, if any, insulation in the wall. Consequently you could overhear any discussions in the next room, plenty of snoring and other rather exciting activities. The bath tub is adjacent to the sleeping area and when the neighbour next door or upstairs runs the bath you get the feeling that you are under a waterfall.

One other drawback was the internet. The hotel is equiped with wifi but as a guest you have to pay and it is rather expensive. Given that we were in the Daisey we were the farthest from the main reception area and therefore the internet signal was very weak. Consequently the connection would cut out on a regular basis which was most annoying. I spoke with the main desk several times and was informed that they use an outside supplier there was nothing they could do. The resort does provide an internet room with a number of computers and a printer. Very busy most times but there is a 15 minute limit and most people respected the timelimit. Two of the computers were out of order and for the week nothing was done to replace/repair them.
The resort staff were very friendly and particularly the housekeeping staff.
Next door is the South Pointe Casino. There are several restaurants and they provide a good
selection of choices. The theatre is very good and they have all the current movies. The only real issue is the smoking. There is no escaping the smoke on the main floor of the casino. There is no area to play the slots that is no smoking so it is hard to spend any time in this area.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in one of the buildings closer to the main reception area for good internet connec...

I've stayed here several times now via RCI exchanges and I really like it.

The complex overall, is very good and the pool areas and Gym are nice value added features. I always get a one bedroom suite and it's very very nice.

Although it's several miles south of the strip, the location is good because you're away from the craziness but still only less than a 10 minute drive from the action. It's also right across the street from the South Pointe Casino where there are some excellent value and high quality restaurants. There's also some great shopping nearby and many good golf courses.

I highly recommend the Grandview for a good value getaway in Vegas !!!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit for a week using our RCI exchange. A two bedroom unit is essentially two 1 bedroom units with a common entrance. We were in the Daisy tower on the 20th floor with our two friends. The Grandview is adjacent to the South Point Casino which has 9 restaurants. We tried the steak restaurant on our first night and the steak is reasonable. It is about 20 minutes south on the Strip.
Our experience:
The Check-In - not a welcoming experience as there were few words spoken during the entire process. The cleaners and the ground-keepers we met were more cheerful.

The Room - spacious, well furnished and in reasonable condition and cleaniless except for black mold around the bottom of the shower pan in one of the units. In the same bathroom, the toilet seat is not aligned with the toilet unit which makes its use rather uncomfortable. The king mattress appeared to be worn out or its springs over-compressed as there were two distinct valleys where one usually sleeps. Our friend's wife had a sore neck after one night as her body was sunken into the valley with her head at a steep angle on the pillow. In case anyone is wondering, all our BMIs are in the desired range. This problem was rectified by using our memory foam neck support travel pillow. There are quite extensive TV channels with 3 HBO stations. However, it appeared that the bandwidth is inadequate as the picture froze and a black patch appeared every minute or so.

The Extras - we were charged $10 for the use of the standard room safe. By paying $10 you will get an instruction sheet with the 4 digit code which will open the safe door for you to reset the code. Internet is $49.95 per week per device. We had 2 notebooks, 2 tablets and a smartphone between us. We were not prepared to pay $250 per week to use the internet. We bought a no-contract unlimited AT&T data plan for use with our smartphone. The complimentary internet room has 8 old computers with worn out keyboards and mice. The use is restricted to 15 minutes after which the computer will reboot. One is allowed 2 pages of printing on a mono laser printer. The internet speed is very slow.

The Cleaning - we were entitled to a mid-week cleaning called a "Tidy Service" by Grandview. We got new towels, trash removal, bed turndown using existing linens, counter wiping and carpet vacuuming. However, our empty facial tissue box was not replaced with tissues nor the spent soap tablets and shampoo. We did not ask for more as we were afraid that we would be charged for these items. Our friend's wife asked for a shower cap at the Front Desk and was told that they had run out.

The Check-out - was speedy and even less vocal. The conversation was restricted to room number and name, and my request for a printed receipt to ensure that there were no unauthorized charges.

After receiving a weeks' stay here as a gift, my family and I got 2 separate units, exactly the same.
a full kitchen and dishwasher, stove ,full fridge (heck, even a blender!) 2 TVs, a humongous shower AND a jacuzzi/tub. lots of storage space, even had a fold out couch. A separate pool for each of the 4 towers, one of which is SUPER kid friendly. awesome staff, constantly clean. even though its a bit off the "strip" (5 miles) its right next to the South Point Casino / Convention center, and really close to grocery and restaurants. They had activities for kids during the week and the staff was REALLY eager to help you do ANYTHING.
