“Great place for the family!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this property. It's way off the strip but South Point Casino and hotel is right next door. South point had lots for the kids to do and all the kids were happy. We bowled, played the arcade, and watched movies.

I loved how each "unit" was actually two separate bedroom units fully equipped with w/d, jacuzzi tub and fully loaded kitchen. We rented 2, two bedroom units for a total of four rooms. It was awesome!

Having the jacuzzi tub in the room was so relaxing. It was nice to have the w/d inside the unit and not out on a balcony. The kids loved the pools and jacuzzi's downstairs.

I will most definitely stay here again when we go to vegas again. I liked it better than the Desert vacation rentals behind the Flamingo.

one HUGE HUGE CON; NO FREE INTERNET. They need to get with the times and have free wifi in their rooms.

I requested the Iris building as it has a pool just off the first floor. Handy and clean area to relax.
Need a car if you want to enjoy more than just this hotel and very close casino-the south point.
Pillows need replacing-I should have bought them when I was buying food to use in this condo. If you ask for 2 bedroom condo, you actually get 2, full one bedroom condos-pretty great-with a single access to both locked rooms.
If you go to the condo presentation, be aware that if you turn down the 1st presenter, he takes you to the 2nd person who will double the offer at 1/2 the price. At least that is what happened to us.
Really like this property. Shuttles available if you don't rent a car, but we never even bothered heading for the strip.
This will likely be my next Las Vegas trip stop.

Room Tip: There are smoking and non smoking floors. Call the week before and specify. No balconies so don'...

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We’re thrilled that you were pleased with our resort and decided to return for another vacation. The negotiation process during the tour that you described is no different than any other sales negotiation that markets significant purchases in a lifetime. Price quotes offered are associated with various inventory and usage options. For example if someone wanted to purchase a new car the price would fluctuate depending upon any upgrades made to the vehicle. We really appreciate your loyalty to The Grandview at Las Vegas Resort and we look forward to sharing our hospitality with you again the next time you’re in Vegas.

Nice units ,well landscaped ,grounds were clean.pools are nice ,child's pool very good lots of features . Security was very visible . Check in was normal . Good towels and bedding . Kitchen was well equipped except for a real vent a hood !!! Some guest cooked bacon on are first day and the floor smelled of bacon are entire 5 nights of vacation . Theres a great Whole Foods mkt down the strip at town center about 4 miles or so for food .if you request extra towels as we did you have to be there to open the door or else you won't get them I think they want to be tipped , I ask the front desk they said we didn't need to stay and wait for things like that .washer and dryer worked good bring those Tide pods they work great .the gaming place next door is poor , south point. The staff was tired and unhappy and very smoky .the snack shop on site gets 4 stars for smiles and service and a great morning place to eat. the floors in are unit were tile and left are white socks black. We're really not big fans of these kind of places but I trade out my services sometimes for a cheap vaca . There's that "something". Missing in most time share places I've visited on the mainland US. Hawaii, Maui beach club by Marriott is like a hotel and it's got that "something". This place is new and seems to be safe

Room Tip: The building 4 is nice.ask to be facing north and u can see strip

Thank you so much for your positive review on your experience at our resort. We’re disappointed that we weren’t able to meet all your expectations but are thankful that overall you enjoyed your time with us. The Grandview at Las Vegas Resort accommodations offer dining rooms and fully appointed kitchens and often guests choose to cook all of their meals in their rooms. The resort is modeled like an upscale condominium building and sometimes cooking odors of neighbors will waft through. We are committed to providing safe, well-appointed accommodations at an affordable price to our guests and we hope you’ll stay with us the next time your travels bring you to Las Vegas.

We came to Las Vegas to go to the Madonna concert and shop. My husband and I are owners here but had yet to have stayed here.
We requested the Jasmine building facing the pool and had no problems getting what we asked for.
We loved the use of the shuttle as it is a great expense to cab to the strip and back. It cost us about $12 to get to the South Outlet mall. Once we were told by a cab driver at the mall that he wouldn't take us to the Grandview. That was AFTER he had already loaded our bags. I guess they lose out on a return trip fare. Apparently what he said and the fact he unloaded our bags was illegal for a cabbie to do.
The hotel was very quiet while we were there. We loved the SouthPoint 12am-6am breakfast. Great after a long night! Suites were beautifully decorated and very clean.
We got free wifi as we were owners. Just asked about it at front desk. Used pool once and was great. Ate breakfast at deli on site. Make sure the give you a whole cup of coffee as they will not fill it up all the way..... We needed our coffee in Vegas!!
Having a washer and dryer was great as we came home with all clean clothes:)
Pillows were terrible, beds were fine otherwise. Never used the in room safe and never had issues with theft. We had cell phones,, iPad and money left out and nothing was touched.
Absolutely no timeshare harassment came our way :)
Overall would stay again but would rent a car.

Did a timeshare exchange for our first trip to Las Vegas. We had read other reviews so we knew to request a room in one of the newer buildings away from the construction. Had a very comfortable room in the Iris Building (away from the "kids pool" area). The room was nicely furnished, kitchen spacious, bed was VERY comfortable but pillows were lacking, so having read the reviews, we brought along our own. Bathroom was spacious and had a whirlpool tub as well (but we didn't use it). Fitness facility was better than at other places we'd stayed - one room with a dozen or so cardio machines and a separate room with weight equipment/machines - no free weights. The $8 all day shuttle to the Strip worked out great as well as buying an all-day city bus pass (the Deuce) to go up & down the Strip all the way to the Outlet Mall & Fremont Street. Be sure to experience the "Fremont Street Experience" (ride the Deuce) - nightime fun - live music - overhead canopy light show on the hour!! Be sure to get your coupon book when you check in for specials at South Point next door.

Room Tip: Ask for a newer building away from the construction - we were in the Iris Building.

I traded for a two bedroom unit the first week of October. It was my third visit to Grandview. I requested a high floor in Daisy building and got it. I did need to wait until 3pm for that room to be cleaned. I worried about construction noise. But it was not a problem. I think they work only 4 days a week. Monday through Thursday, they were there around 5:30 am, but were not very noisy until after 6:30 am. I opened my window sometimes, and could notice noise, but if the window was closed and the air conditioner was running, it was hard to notice the construction activity.

The Grandview was very full for an October weekend. It seemed that all the parking spaces were full. The pool had a good amount of people, but pleanty of chairs. It is a very popular propterty. I hope to stay there again someday.
