“Everything but great”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Was my birthday and we thought we go somewhere special. Had asked for a table with fountain view, which was confirmed at booking, but ended up with a table second row. I had a steak, which was ok. My wife didn't want beef that day and ordered something chicken-ish. Ended up being a disaster, an overpriced disaster. That place is not worth the money.

“So romantic”

The perfect place for a romantic date. If you can score a window seat, you will be able to watch the fountains while you eat.

“What a wonderful experience”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

We ate dinner with another couple on 12-12 to celebrate my wife's birthday. We all ordered their steak ( filet migon and rib eye). Was very tasty. The appetizers and side dishes were exceptional. I tried their fried hummus for the first time and actually liked it. The staff even went out of their way and served a specially prepared birthday plate with various desserts for the table. Was pricey, but will worth the experience. The view of the oudoor waterfall display isn't bad either!!! Would highly recommend

“Really disappointed.”
Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

It's been several years since my last visit to Prime and I always recalled past meals here as among the best steaks I've had. When I had occasion to dine here again in early Jan 2013, I looked forward to it with great anticipation. The restaurant itself is a nice room and I had no complaints with our server, but the meal was a huge disappointment. The seafood tower appetizer looked great, with huge chunks of king crab legs, shrimp, lump crabmeat, lobster and assorted oysters, clams and mussels. The taste was another story. Every bite of the lump crab I ate had me picking pieces of cartilage out of my mouth. Picking this out of the crab is a basic detail that every restaurant does, and would have expected here. The king crab and stone crab claws were very watery tasting. Not appealing at all. The shrimp were the only well prepared items on the plate. The steak was another letdown. A porterhouse ordered medium rare was a solid medium. Not the end of the world, but again, given the reputation, cooking a steak to the proper temp is assumed. The worst was that there was abolutely no seasoning. The meat was bland and tough with very light grill marks. It looked as if it had been per-seared and then heated up to order. The sides were good, but not enough to save the meal. If you're looking for a great steak in Las Vegas, I would recommend Delmonico's at the Venetian, Del Frisco's or even Morton's. it's. shame that Prime has fallen off so drastically.
