Lovely meal, very attentive service at the Alize Restarant. We were lucky enough to arrive in daylight and watch vegas light up at night, with a lovely window view. Stunning view on the 56th floor of the Palms Hotel. Food was excellent, would highly recommend for a special occasion.

Unfortunately, our server who must have just arrived from France, could not understand English very well. He was extremely unatentave, never offered cocktails, I had to ask then he brought the wrong drink, twice! He suggested the cold fois gras and we choose two different appetizers and got three because he thought we said yes although we said no thank you. After the meal was served we never saw him again until he brought the check. No more cocktails, no offer of dessert or coffee. The sunset view was beautiful and the food was amazing, so go but if you get the waiter who appologizes for bieng French, ask for a different server. I wish we would have asked for a different server and maybe we could have completely enjoyed the Alize. Note to the Manager, he lost a couple of $100 in sales to our table by not offering drinks and dessert to our table of four.

Decided to try the Alize on the recommendation of a friend. Knew well in advance we were going to drop some serious dough. Checked out the menu and decided to give it a try. Everything was really fabulous. From the TWO amuse bouche you get, the bountiful bread basket they bring around, TO. DIE. FOR. French onion soup (like nothing I have ever eaten), the entrée, amazing dessert and the awesome little French candy cart they bring around to top off your meal. We spent just under $200 because we got a $25 off coupon in the Player's Club book that we got when we entered as we arrived early for our reservation. They do offer a prix fixe menu for $75 which includes a select appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. I went this route and it was plenty of food. We were lucky enough to be there after the sun started setting, so we got to see all of Vegas lighting up. I forgot to mention, this is on the 56th floor of the Palms and the view is just spectacular. Not something I would do everyday, but it was well worth it!

If you want an expensive evening and have a great meal with a stunning view of the Las Vegas strip, make reservations here. Be sure to ask for a window seat and get there right before sunset. It is located on the top floor of the Ivory Tower and it is not very large. It has a very small bar and there is no view. My husband had the lamb which he said 'was one of the best meals he had ever eaten.' I'm a light eater, so I had the ravioli appetizer with a salad which were very unique and tasty. The service was good although we wanted to enjoy the view with a drink and when we were ready to order, it was difficult getting our servers attention. All in all, the food and view was worth it.

We wanted on upscale dinner on our trip and we chose Alize for it view of the July 4 fireworks. The food was excellent, creative and beautifully served. The wine list (on an ipad) was interesting. Service was only good, bordering on disappointing. It could have been more attentive. For example, after the wine was opened and the initial pour, I ended up refilling the glasses. No big deal, just a little surprising. The wine steward seemed much more interested in chatting with the table next to ours. Also, we ordered the soufflé dessert. We declined coffee (the room was unusually warm). They brought the dessert and that was the last we saw of anyone until they brought the check. We lingered about 20 minutes. I was considering some after dinner wine, but was never asked.
