Owner description: Rock of Ages, the "insanely fun" (Time Out New York) worldwide smash hit musical featuring a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching tunes, is now rocking nightly at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Set in L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Rock of Ages takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This hilarious, feel-good love story celebrates the great rock songs of the '80s including such sing-out-loud songs as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "I Wanna Know What Love Is", "Here I Go Again", "Don't Stop Believin'", and more. Parental Advisory Rock of Ages is all about having a good time but you should be aware that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 14 (kids under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult). Remember, if you do bring them, they'll get to see you rockin' like you did back in the day! AGE LIMIT Under 14 Must Be Accompanied By An Adult Under 5 Will Not Be Admitted Into The Theatre

The show doesn't follow the exact same story line as the movie (I think the movie nailed it).

That being said, it's a fun show for anyone that loves 80's music or grew up in that area. We were at an early show on a Saturday night and was a little surprised by the light attendance (half of the theater). Maybe the late show appeals more to the partiers of our generation (or those that didn't outgrow it at least).

Overall a very good show, not of cirque du soleil quality, but those can get redundant. Upbeat, fun, and a few corny Vegas jokes thrown in to boot.

Highly recommended.

We got tickets on the morning of the show. When we arrived we were asked if we would like to be moved to the front in the rock star chairs, 2nd row! (We had initially bought cheap tickets!) great view! I thought the show was fantastic, great music, great atmosphere and a fab cast. The narrator was quite funny. The show can get a bit raunchy with the girls dancing and they wear revealing clothes. If you are a prude, I wouldn't recommend it! Out in the foyer there was merchandise for sale, and one tshirts had a picture of breasts on it, my husband said that one woman was very disgusted by it and adjusted the tshirt! Haha. So, if you have a sense of humour and don't mind a bit of raunchiness then I'd highly recommend!

This show was truly a blast from start to finish. Great music, great laughs and with a vegas style sexy flare! Truly the most fun I have had at a show in vegas. It does have some inappropriate for children moments, but hey this is Vegas. Leave the kids at home. Lol.

We really enjoyed this show. A bit raunchy at times (not for young kids!!), and the story is predictable, but overall a great show. Loved the music and the costumes!

Awesome show, great cast, great music, great time, a must see whilst in Vegas. The theatre at the Venetian is a smaller one so every seat is a good one, free upgrade by booking at the box office at the Venetian
