Owner description: Rock of Ages, the "insanely fun" (Time Out New York) worldwide smash hit musical featuring a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching tunes, is now rocking nightly at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Set in L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Rock of Ages takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This hilarious, feel-good love story celebrates the great rock songs of the '80s including such sing-out-loud songs as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "I Wanna Know What Love Is", "Here I Go Again", "Don't Stop Believin'", and more. Parental Advisory Rock of Ages is all about having a good time but you should be aware that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 14 (kids under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult). Remember, if you do bring them, they'll get to see you rockin' like you did back in the day! AGE LIMIT Under 14 Must Be Accompanied By An Adult Under 5 Will Not Be Admitted Into The Theatre

OK, average singers, thin plot, some funny bits mostly due to clever ad libbing, the usual - most of the girls are very skimpily dressed and picked for looks rather than talent (except one who was allowed to wear nortmal clothes and could actually sing) whereas the men were mostly fully dressed, older and not at all attractive.

This was a brash, full-on musical true to the 80's. Loved the dancing, the singing, and the great costumes. It did have a lot of coarse humour, provocative dancing and some swearing, so not for those easily offended or younger kids. The actor who played the narrator was great; an audience member threw out a great one-liner part-way through the show that had him laughing on stage, and he was able to recover and incorporate that into the show really well, having everyone in the audience laughing along. The "lighters" were a fun touch. It was a really fun show in a great venue.

If you like rock, then you will like this show. It was energetic and fun filled. Reasonably priced and worth the time. Stand by and be entertained.

I said the Funnest not the best. My husband and I plan on going again. If you don't take yourself too serious or the show this is your kind of show. Go see a Cirque show you'll be amazed... this show is FUN!!! It's done perfectly for what it supposed to be...Being an 80's lady the 80's were cheezy and a blast!!! I have seen almost every show in Vegas this one is my favorite.

This is the show for you if you liked the 80's!! The music was fantastic, the actors super and best of all there was interaction with the audience. That is, if the right audience is present. Everything about this show brought back memories for me and I loved it!
