Owner description: Rock of Ages, the "insanely fun" (Time Out New York) worldwide smash hit musical featuring a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching tunes, is now rocking nightly at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Set in L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Rock of Ages takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This hilarious, feel-good love story celebrates the great rock songs of the '80s including such sing-out-loud songs as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "I Wanna Know What Love Is", "Here I Go Again", "Don't Stop Believin'", and more. Parental Advisory Rock of Ages is all about having a good time but you should be aware that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 14 (kids under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult). Remember, if you do bring them, they'll get to see you rockin' like you did back in the day! AGE LIMIT Under 14 Must Be Accompanied By An Adult Under 5 Will Not Be Admitted Into The Theatre

If you like cheese (tick), if you like 80s rock (tick), if you like silly toilet humour (tick), you will love this. I had no idea what this would me like, and I have to say if you go to New York, and like a laugh and a rock, then this is your show. It made me laugh and laugh, it make me sing out loud and it even though it has been around for a few years there was a 'standing o' at our show. And it was a Sunday, when people are more reticent. The cast, never heard of any of them. But it didn't matter. It was just a riot from start to finish. And I like a riot on a night out. Highlight? The closing Don't Stop Believing which had the guitarist from Arsenal taking the guitar solo off onto another planet. Immense.

“The best show I have ever seen.”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Do not miss this if you are traveling to Vegas, work or play, alone or in a group. It is in a great theater in the Bellagio. The sound was amazing, absolutely no distortion and just loud enough. Of course, 80's music rocks, hard to go wrong there.

First rate singing, dancing and comedy. Laughed our butts off. The plot was markedly different from the movie. I'm no prude, but I would not take children under 14 to this show, lotsa sex humor, pretty uncomfortable in a family setting.

“Absolute feel-good show!”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

This was one of two shows we had time for in Vegas, and it was great! The vibe in the theater already while it was filling up with people, was fun and party-like. The barman in front of the stage was very eager to sell some of the good stuff, and really made us laugh. The cast was very good, and we got that old rock and roll feeling through the entire show! People was singing and clapping and some could just not resist the urge to get up and move those bodies. Very, very nice and a super night out. We sat in about the 5th row from the front and when a tall gentleman moved into the seat in front of us, we did not have that good a view anymore. Try to rather get a seat in the elevated rows.

What a cast what a show, powerful and really really value for money. Brilliant seats no matter where you sit. Please allow at least 30 mins from arriving at the hotel to get to the theatre.
