“Casino Casual. ”

This is not high end dining. And although the space is very well done...it's still a restaurant mostly ringing the edge of the Aria Casino. The fairly traditional Mexican menu was huge and impossible to see in the dim light. And half the table got drinks while the other half mysteriously waited for the rest. For a while. As you can see....not off to the best start. But Javier's won us over. The staff seemed genuinely proud of the place and did everything they could to make us happy. Those drinks that took a while to arrive....amazing margaritas. Just strong enough too. The next round we ordered...arrived in seconds. We all thought the complimentary chips and salsa .....some of the best we have had. And all 5 of us really enjoyed our dinners. From tacos to seafood enchiladas....perfecto. Again ....the Michelin man won't be dropping off any stars here but I surely recommend it for a great pre or post show spot with delicious Mexican food in a very convenient location. The manager said " hope to see you again" as we left. He will.

“Average but expensive Mexican food - However, Service was Fantastic”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

We stopped here for lunch. The place has such dark finishing, it was hard to see the steps and decors. Our server was very friendly. He was the only bright spot of our lunch experience.

We ordered the beef taquitos and chicken fajitas to share. The taquitos were presented beautifully, but the beef really lacked any seasoning. Not much flavor. The chicken fajitas had chicken chunks so big we found ourselves cutting them down into strips. That goes the same for tamato, green peppers. The chicken was spicy and good. Came with lots of guacamole and sour cream, plus 3 small flour tortillas.

Ordered a Corona. Bill came out to be $46 including tax and tip. Not exactly an affortable quick lunch.

“Reasonable Mexican but not up to the hype”
Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

Dining at Javiers is a real experience due to the fitout alone. Great curved booths and lovely finishes. The food was nice but not outstanding and for the price its a bit overrated. Lovely genuine service and great cocktails.

“Not Like Newport Location”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

One of my favorite restaurants ever is Javier's in Newport Beach. When they opened this location at Aria, I was expecting something just as fabulous.

I love the dark interior of the restaurant. It's incredibly modern for a Mexican restaurant, and not at all what you would expect. I do not like the fact that it opens up to the casino floor, which is noisy, and wish the tables weren't so close together.

I ordered the same seafood enchiladas that I am obsessed with in Newport. When they came out, you could tell that they were in a hurry, and the entire dish was just warm - not hot.

The service was pleasant enough.

Do not go to this restaurant thinking you can order combo #9 for $10.95 and share with someone. This is a modern take on Mexican cuisine, and they make sure to communicate that to you through their pricing.

Las Vegas has a serious shortage on Mexican cuisine. Skip Javier's and go to Taqueria Canonita at Venetian, at least you'll get a view of the gondola's.

“Decent Mexican”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

This was our second time at this restaurant. Food was good. My husband really liked the chips and salsa, as well as, the guacamole. In addition to my dinner, I had a house marg, which was awful. At $12 a drink, I expected more.
