Bacchanal buffet. The name says it all, really great food with the large choice you would expect from a Caesars Palace buffet.

If you are staying at the Augustus or Octavius towers, there is a back way directly to the buffet if you want to avoid the casino crowds.

We ate here our first night at Caesars Palace. At 6pm on Monday we had no wait in line at all. We had a cocktail at the Galleria bar before dinner, so we just had tea with supper. They do have a pretty nice wine list.

This buffet is all about the food. They seat a huge number of people at the same time, so its little wonder the buffet lines are quite long. Be prepared to stand in line 10-15minutes for each trip to the popular meat and crab leg lines. The wait is worth it, just dont be in a hurry. Some folks in line were quite cross (and vocal) having to wait a bit, but we just spent the extra time taking it all in.

The wait is worth it. You can get your crab legs fresh-steamed or chilled, and just about any cut of meat you like.

I would say the star of the experience was dessert. Gelato, chocolate covered strawberries, you name it, they had it.

In the morning they play light Jazz in the background. At lunch the music is a bit louder, and by evening the music is almost too loud to hold a conversation. I'm sure the rapid, loud beat of the music is meant to raise the level of excitement (and maybe encourage patrons to eat faster), but we found it very distracting.

We never saw a crowd for breakfast or lunch, just in the evening.

Dont give in to the subtle hints to do everything fast. Take your time, sit back, and enjoy this buffet. Although most people bolt straight for the crab legs and prime rib, dont forget the other dishes too. Even the cooked carrots were extremely well done.

We gave our tip in cash to the elderly server who was so prompt with the tea refills and the nice smile. She was so pleasant, asked if we were having a nice visit, and was always nearby.

A couple of hints:
Glance around when you are being seated to avoid the high traffic "lanes." The hostess had no problem seating us off to the side. Sitting right next to the dessert line means someone will bump into you.

Get your crab leg and prime rib fix over with first. After that you can enjoy all the other items without waiting very long.

Overall, this is a fantastic experience. It's truly amazing they can cook so much and yet maintain attention to detail and quality. We will eat there at least once on every visit.

food is incredible, there are 9 stations and each has it's own cooking area with it's own chef. not just brought out from the back. watch the time you go as it can be pricey. always use you total rewards card when going in as this will save about 30%!! ( lunch is 34.95 we paid 23.95 with card)

Arrived early and didn't have to wait in line.

This place is big and does have the fresh cooked appearance.

They have an extensive, Asian section and beef. Italian was small, seafood was excellent.

The fish had everything you wanted. Crab legs, muscles etc.
The meat section had prime rib with the rib if you wanted, lamb, brisket, ribs, sausage.

Most everything was good. Some was excellent, but overall a good dinner for 44pp

I was disappointed in the dessert section. Very small plates just not what I was expecting based on the huge selection in the main food area.

It was an experience, I would go back again for about half the price or free. In other words, not going to happen. There are to many regular restaurants in Vegas for the same price that are much better and you don't have to wait in line if you go at prime dining times

Mixed drinks were about 14-15 dollars each.

This is a great buffet, about $30 for lunch but worth it... the food is quality, big selection, carving stations and very good desserts.. Worth a try if you are near Caesars.

A 20 minute wait before being seated (on a quiet Thursday) and a $48 ticket gets you into the best buffet on the strip.
Phenomenol food. great service. I'd do it again!
Remember to keep room for dessert!
