Pick up was on time. Tour driver Jackie was pleasant, knowledgeable, informative, courteous, and funny. The tour was very interesting but we wished we'd had a bit more time. We didn't get to see the museum part due to the crowds. She took us to the bridge and we had 20 minutes there. We really appreciated that part and the new bridge is awesome. On the drive back she told us interesting things. We were dropped at our hotel. If you can't or don't want to rent a car this is the way to go. If you think you want to spend more time then do it on your own with a rental. I think this tour is the cheapest way to do it. As a caution, be considerate. If she tells you to be back on time get back on time. Three girls on our bus were late because they wanted ice cream. That's inconsiderate especially when the drive had time constraints.

The Hoover Dam is a great, amazing sight to see at least once in your life. Just don't go see it with these guys.

We departed the Vegas strip 30 minutes late, supposedly waiting for a couple of people that were taking a taxi from their hotel. They never showed. Once we got going, it became clear that our driver/tour guide was very negative with almost every one of his comments (which he had plenty of). Occasionally he'd have something interesting to say, but for the most part he complained in a very low energy, droopy tone about the economy, the crowds, the security, how rough things had been lately, etc . Tip for any tour guide - no one wants to go on a tour where you'll need a zoloft prescription for depression afterwards.

We got to the dam. It was Spring Break week and crowds appeared to be a little bigger than normal, but overall the experience there was great and beautiful. The 2 hours from our express tour from Groupon felt a little short thanks to a few long lines, but we got what we paid for and probably would have been fine on a less crowed day.

After enjoying the views and tours of the dam, we departed back to Vegas right on time. But about 20 minutes into the ride back, our guide pulled over and took a head count. Why? Apparently he left 2 passengers back at the dam. He attributed the problem to his manifest from the company being incorrect, but he took a headcount in the morning and apparently didn't bother to check it on the way back.

Now these 2 passengers were late back to the bus, there's no doubt about it. So did the company decide to put them in a taxi or leave them on their own? No, instead they turned the entire bus load of 45 people back around, drove 20 minutes back to the dam, back through security, and then departed again with our 2 extra guests. WOW! The entire bus was furious. So 30 minutes in the morning and another 40 or 50 minutes in the afternoon just completely wasted. If you value your time while you're on vacation, definitely check out the dam but do yourself a favor and avoid these guys.

This tour takes you into the bowels of the dam and shows you how the dam works and gives you a history of how the dam was made and some interesting stories about the engineering involved in making, operating and maintaining the dam. I am not a big fan of guided tours in large groups but this tour was totally worth it! You actually get to walk into one of the passageways that goes through the wall of the dam and you can look out over the Colorado River below. If you don't take this tour you will miss so much! The tour guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. I cannot stress enough how much everyone who visits the dam should go on this tour.

Our first time in Vegas, but wanted to get out to see Hoover Dam. Bought the tickets online. Called them when we got to the hotel to confirm- no problem. Picked us up in charter bus, then went to some other hotels, then they took us to the MIracle Mile Mall to check-in. We waited in line, showed our paperwork, and they told us which bus to get on. Our bus driver, Leo, was great- he is from the area and knows it well. Our time at the dam was good and we had plenty of time to take the underground tour, and then head up to look and walk around. We had purchased the deluxe package with lunch and gift card to Miracle Mile shops, which I would not recommend doing. First of all, unless you want to eat lunch at 2pm, you are not going to have lunch at the miracle mile shops. We grabbed a hot dog and snack at the dam because we were hungry! Ethel M's is kind of cool, but their chocolate is expensive! Once we got back to the mall, had to find something to spend our money on. Then, we went to try to find a ride back to our hotel, which was supposed to be included. None of the taxi's knew what we were talking about. So, we called the company and they gave us the name of two types of taxis we had to find. We ended up walking to Planet Hollywood because most of the taxis go there. Finally found one (after 30 mins) that was right and the guy had no idea what we were talking about. He had to call into his dispatcher to verify. Whew! So I would not recommend that package! Just take the bus back and forget the miracle mile shops- it's just a mall.

This review is for HOOVER DAM TOUR COMPANY not for Hoover Dam itself. I check out this company and the price was $60 per adult which included pick up and drop off to your hotel and Access to the theater, exhibit rooms, generator room, observation deck as well as the Visitor's Center and the museum. GROUPON had the same deal for $29 which is the reason I booked the tour. The bus driver was great and very informative but don't be late for departure the bus leaves on time 3 people were left behind the bus driver came back to the pick up site and picked up 2 the third person never showed up and was left behind!!! Smooth ride and great photo opportunities!!! The stop at Ethel M. Chocolate Factory was also a great sweat bonus
